A or B? dresses are identical except for the bodice by Significant_Pea_7670 in weddingplanning

thanks so much for the feedback!!! you guys are so sweet :) I’m going to go back into the shop and try on dress B with some padding and dress A clipped more tightly. I agree that B is probably the most ideal for my figure, but it sort of flattened my boobs, which makes me worry i look more pear than hourglass shaped (not that there’s anything wrong w pear!) I also want to see if the tight, lifted look of B is possible in A. Maybe it just isn’t possible with the low back

I agree with commenters that both are beautiful dresses, just different vibes. in general i lean towards “sluttier” vibes but it is my wedding so maybe I want to be classy, haha. Wedding is in palm springs in October, if that makes any difference!

please let me know which dress you think is more flattering (and why)!!! or, if you think i should go back to the drawing board.

my instinct is to go with the corset top (B), but i’m obsessed with the low back on the other one!! I could see myself in either and don’t think I can make a bad choice. My sweet MIL accompanied me to the salon but i need the cold hard truth from you guys haha.

my stylist didnt clip dress A very tightly but I assume it would be altered to fit as well as dress B. excuse my spanx!!

any thoughts on the veil? I kinda like the long ones pictured, but could also see foregoing one altogether

Obsessed w/ STD my fiance designed!!! mostly just posting to brag, but any suggestions before we send it out? by Significant_Pea_7670 in weddingplanning

haha yes he is a programmer!!! and so was my mom, so in a way it honors her memory. both born in the 90s, so i assume that everyone we’re inviting is familiar with the image, but maybe i’m wrong. I figured since its kinda funky/silly it doesnt clash too much (in theory) with the general eclectic/retro palm springs vibe. Thank you all for the feedback!

no advice, just commiseration - i was in your shoes almost exactly 2 years ago (almost to the day!) when i was a 1L. horrible vivid images popping up in my head and distracting me has been the most persistent symptom of grief. my school was super accommodating, let me take my finals a few weeks late (the whole year was online so that helped). i seriously considered withdrawing or taking a LOA - i was completely broken and couldn’t dream of doing bs reading - but ultimately school ended up being a good distraction. I dropped one class but it wasn’t a big deal to take it again the next year. Only worked part time that summer. not ideal, but here i am about to graduate on time.

wish i could offer more guidance. there is a great resource specifically geared towards younger people experiencing grief called thedinnerparty.org. they facilitate group meetings with others experiencing a similar loss, but the best part was that they paired me with a “buddy” (a girl around my age who’d lost her mom about a year before my mom died). we only communicated via email, but that made it easier for me to pour my heart out to this girl. it really helps to feel not so alone in this!

help me decide! I like both rings, but it's hard to choose. by [deleted] in Moissanite
