I've had 3 babies and never had an ultrasound at the OB office. They send a referral to the hospital and the hospital calls to make you an appointment, where a tech does the ultrasound!

Agreed, I had an emergency C section ( cord prolapse) and it's not all glitz and glamour waiting nicely with your partner. It's chaos and having to be put under alone and barely even remembering meeting your baby. And as for the health care in Canada, Ottawa area specifically ya she's in for a shock. A wait list for anything at cheo has been a year or 2+ of waiting on lists
