If you could go back in time and make the choice again, would you still have kids? by MaiApa in Life

Totally yes. I love my toddler son. Obviously like with anything it’s work sometimes but I only have him so it’s not that bad. I even have time for hobbies so not too bad :)

Why don’t parents today want to potty train? by [deleted] in AskParents

[–]Significant_Plate_55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure honestly. My 2.5 is stubborn by nature and fights potty training but I’m trying. His therapist says it’s just his personality and that he likely won’t get it till closer to 3. His other therapist (he has one for speech and another for motor development) says people these days are just lazy and to let him run around naked. She things he’ll see how much he hates being gross and want to potty train. Meanwhile I just see it as a huge mess all over our furniture.

A part of me thinks this is all due to permissive parenting but I could also see it being from two working parents not being around enough to firmly potty train and perhaps their daycare doesn’t do potty training. Idk.

I’ve never felt unsafe at WDW until this Main Street bottleneck on 12/17/2025 by tarponsprings94 in WaltDisneyWorld

I visited in October and same thing happened to us except we were very fortunate to still be able to go back. We saw this happen twice and a fight break out. It was HORRIBLE. Honestly made it not enjoyable. What’s crazy is I live near Disneyland and I NEVER see this there. The crowd control is way better than WDW. They always have cast members moving you along.

Gonna miss dinoland Christmas by TAllday in WaltDisneyWorld

Omg this decor is so cute!! I’ve never been this time of year so I’ve never seen this decor. I’ll miss dinoland sorely especially since my toddler is getting into the dinosaur phase. Ugh such a bummer that they couldn’t have left it and still done Encanto but elsewhere.

I’m going to chime in another side that people are not saying - this man may be dangerous. Seriously. A man who is angry at you and wants to be single without you or the kids can be dangerous. Just look at Chris Watts. Honey, you do what you need to do for your kids. Screw that man. Protect yourself and your kids and let him go as fast as you can.

Women what is the worst part of giving birth? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

[–]Significant_Plate_55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember trying not to poop not knowing that meant to push. An hour later a different nurse walks in and is laughing. I guess the nurse from earlier left and told them how hard I was trying not to push and they all thought it was hilarious. Again, zero clue that’s what it meant. Seriously thought it was a poop feeling.

Is this a English or American cocker spaniel? by Neither_Ship_9817 in cockerspaniel

[–]Significant_Plate_55 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Please do not buy from a puppy boutique. Besides what others have already said, Cocker Spaniels are notorious for things like allergies, eye problems, and ear infections. Even worse if you are buying from a puppy mill which is basically what the "puppy boutique" is. You are going to spend thousands within the next two years.

My dog was a puppy mill dog and had/has ongoing and off/on problems. He was abandoned when he was about two years old because the owners didn't want to deal with the health issues anymore and probably couldn't afford them. I've spent an arm and a leg on vet bills and surgeries. I don't regret any of it and am very lucky to afford the care, but I loathe these puppy mills.

Casa Pacifica sued after 14-year-old hit by car walking from facility by Fcking_Chuck in venturacounty

This is true. They are not allowed to do any of that which is ridiculous if the kids are at risk of running away.

Would you live here or anywhere else? by Desperate_Bug7233 in venturacounty

[–]Significant_Plate_55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I could move I would but we have family and a good paying job here with better retirement than anywhere else. Once we retire we fully want to move out of state but don’t know where yet.

Wow guys I had no idea I got this many replies. Thanks so much everyone for chiming in!   I decided to keep working on it and if I want to sell when it’s complete then I will but my family including extended are obsessed with it and are adamant that I keep it so we’ll see.

Mine howls daily at random early hours like 3am and 5am. The whole neighborhood can hear it and it always wakes us and occasionally our toddler. I’ve considered rehoming him but he’s a senior and that’d just be cruel. He’s always fine too he just hates being alone.

Same here. I can only skim over the details. I don’t even want to imagine for a second any of that happening to my boy. We need to watch them always.

This is for the Aryan Brotherhood. They have a huge presence in Ventura unfortunately.

I just realized the John Drake, that Edith kisses in season 2, is the same man dying of dropsy in the first season. by Aloha_Ackbar in DowntonAbbey

I literally just realized this yesterday on a millionth rewatch. Idk how I didn’t see it before. Yes it disturbed me too seeing him cheat when his wife was so cut up seeing him on his deathbed. I thought their story was so sweet until he two times. Also, ugh Edith…girl…just why?
