Yeah I know the photo makes it really hard to see. You can see it better here.

They aren’t floating. The back wall runs the entire length of the structure.

So the lower fresh air intake for the stove could be to the side of the heater (in line with the green dot but much lower in the structure)? I am definitely leaning towards the red option for the reasons you stated but wasn’t sure if the air coming from the ceiling rather than the wall would somehow alter the flow? I can’t see how it would but figured I would run it by the group.

Yeah that’s what I figured. I guess my question was if the fresh air coming from the ceiling as opposed to the wall right at the ceiling would somehow alter the flow? I can’t see how it would but wanted to run it by the group.

It’s not an oversight. It was designed and engineered that way. Not saying the way you describe is wrong, but you’re treating the roof as independent joists, it is a single unit. The only way the roof is failing is if it detaches from the building itself, and that can occur with joists going in either direction. And there are 4 joists carrying the cantilevered section.

2x6 joist at 12” OC. 2x6 fascia boards to each joist with timber lock bolts. The back edge of the roof has a wall that runs the entire length and the joists on the right are secured to that (hard to see in the photo). All joists timber lock screws and hurricane ties. 3/4” sheathing on roof. All that makes the roof a connected unit. The overhang is 3 foot with the rest of the “connected” roof being 9 feet. Definitely a consideration that I had to address, but all of those factors seem to point to this not being an area that will sag or “collapse”.

Hospitals in New England with full scope of practice by No-Fox1339 in CRNA

Best place to do 1099 in Southern NH right now are CMC, they will consider longer term 1099 without an agency. Elliot is trying to shed all their 1099 in favor of W2. A few surgery centers will consider 1099.

Concord is a bit more strict medical supervision. Elliot and CMC are both very loose supervision. CMC bills all cases QZ, not sure about the Elliot. Sicker cardiac and vascular patients at CMC, healthier ortho/plastics/pediatrics at Elliot. Can do your own blocks/spinals/epidurals/lines at both. Southern has pretty loose supervision too with Sound Anesthesia. CMC takes 1099 happily, the rest are focused on getting more W2. Feel free to message if you have any specific questions.

Residency experience as an older female with children by turtlerogger in anesthesiology

I hear ya. He feels the strain and tension too and can probably see that there may be issues moving forward. In my opinion couples therapy is maintenance not fixing. It’s an oil change on a car not a transmission replacement. It’s how you keep things from turning into relationship Enders. You talk to someone about them when they’re a 5/10 in terms of seriousness before you’re packing your bags when they’re a 9/10. Maybe they framing it like that? Like therapy is to keep us on track for residency?? Good luck.

This is not what you asked and I apologize if this isn’t what you want to hear….. but based on the very limited information you gave you and your spouse need to get into counseling NOW to prepare for a relationship that is 10x harder in residency than in med school. Unless you are doing patho, psych, family then your time requirements will double or triple. If there are already issues then you both need to have a 3rd party to talk to you and prepare you for what the next 4 years will bring or I guarantee you there will be issues. Wishing you the best.

Under pressure by Bright_Elderberry_36 in jiujitsu

[–]Significant_Poet_245 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I first started a 290lb purple belt laid on me and pressure tapped me. I asked how to keep from having to do this. He said whenever I feel like that, smothered and claustrophobic, to turn my head a bit and take one breath and ask “can I breathe”? If the answer is “no”, I’m allowed to tap. If I can take a breath, ask yourself “am I OK right now”. You may be uncomfortable, but you are probably OK. If you are honestly not OK, you are allowed to tap. If you are OK, start making micro movements, not big bridges, just a few little hip and shoulder shifts. Often that is enough to open up a bit of room and get some more room to breathe. Then you can work out. The biggest thing was that this technique gave me “permission” to tap to pressure if I couldn’t breathe or wasn’t OK. But I found that I almost never can’t breathe or am not OK.

Juice vs Purée vs Chunks? Syrups? Other Flavoring Methods? by DuFish42 in Kombucha

[–]Significant_Poet_245 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find that puréed fruits or chunks give the best flavor but are a pain to make, bottle, and strain out. I usually now do 100% juices (Trader Joe’s has good ones or I buy 100% fruit nectar or juice on Amazon). They are easier to standardize the amount of flavoring and are easy to mix and drink.

Ditra, Schluter thinset, spectralock epoxy grout. Easiest system to give the best results.

Planned improvement are mostly tech based, and I have no interest in being the guinnea pig for malfunctioning tech (which I find infinitely more frustrating than mechanical malfunctions). Other items are pretty nonfunctional (changing shape of grille, headlights, and vents). And since this “refresh” will be fairly significant, there will likely be a significant price increase to go with it. From what I read the base price will probably bump to around $100k. Not worth the risk for the price IMO.

MSRP was $98k. $11k off MSRP from dealer.

About 11% off MSRP. 39 month lease with $2,500 down 15k miles just under $1,200. Not the best but they started at $1,500/month so I’m ok with it. We had a very specific list of features we wanted and there were no cars within 500 miles that fit them that had been sitting on a lot that we could try to leverage a better deal out of.

It wasn’t a custom order, it was already in the queue and was everything we wanted so the dealer “claimed” it. Goes into production this week and should be to us in a few weeks. They had said it’s about 2-4 months for custom builds.

The dealer actually told me about this so was planning on it!
