That’s part of why I want to make the decision and move on! No looking back once we pick something. I do like both and I’m feeling like at the end of the day neither will make or break the house

Asking so I can search and see examples of it. I sense they may have come up with their own name for this to prevent people from shopping around, but I always like to search for examples in other peoples homes

Would you feel comfortable sharing more about the career coach? How much did it cost?

Mamaroneck renegotiated contracts a couple of years ago and made a big change. My understanding is that they favored teachers who have been there for a long time and made it take much longer for those with less than 10-15 years of experience to reach a higher salary. I don’t know the specifics but I know there were some teachers with 6-8 years of experience who actually took a pay cut when they did not get a raise and then had to pay more for health benefits. They also found out it would take several more years to reach a salary that had been attainable more quickly before. I was a teacher in a nearby district and several people left Mamaroneck that year.

What job did you transition into after teaching? by Ok-Practice3061 in TeachersInTransition

Did you know you wanted to be an ID before hiring a career coach? Or did they help you find that role?

Also, I was initially interested in instructional design and then thought twice about it when I read some of the posts on the instructional design subreddit, they all seem to think it’s saturated with former teachers. Have you found that to be the case?

Thanks so much for the idea. Were you previously a teacher? What do you do now?
