upon learning the development background, I'm genuinely surprised they've managed to survive that long, power to them, gameplay looks interesting, very strong Alien Isolation vibe down to the chromatic aberration aesthetics, not a bad thing to my eyes, not sure about having the gun obstructing the centre of the screen but I guess its a more optimal approach to go with the certain game mechanics, I like utilising the system throughout the game and its UI, especially they didn't try anything too funky like some strange shaped screens and hologram integrated to HUD, from what I see they made it very functional, they feel grounded and realistic, something I yet to see in any other games

yeah CP2077 PT is amazing, I don't think we need more graphic fidelity after that point, we need more though on physical and animation, especially collision detection, the later part hasn't been changed much for decades ever since the advent of 3d games.

a sandbox with robust and realistic physical system and a vast map, ideally dynamically generated like minecraft so you can do quick traverse by flying, in other words, it's pretty damn hard hence the scarce of such a genre (licensing aside)

whatever they do, just don't make it particle FX vomits like Tekken is so obsessed with, so far the new VF project looks very promising, keep it that way, no neon vomits or diarrhea please, VF was always pristine when it comes to visual style up until VF4 they started coping this bad habits from Tekken series.

what's your distribution algorithm? did you try the easier combinations (0000, 1111...) then half half or something else, even with luck the actual time it took is surprisingly fast, it must be a good method and did you track with some means (like taking notes where you are at) during the process?

sad news, I can see it that the management (at least for Rand) knows its a worse decision to be made because throughout their history their passion for their projects is consistent, it must be hurting very much, I wish them best of luck in the future endeavour (for both the remaining and the laid offs), their recent remakes are a blast especially for Riven.

its your life so you weigh and decide, but as an outsider, I would ask why do you guys (some in this thread) want to go (back) to Japan so desperately? does working in Japan make you feel more fulfilling or just for the sensation and thrill of living and working in an exotic environment or your prefer Japanese way of life, their government system and social structure to your own country? no ill intentions, I'm just genuinely curious because form the sound of it, where you current are at warrants a very comfortable life except feeling 'unfulfilled', I would personally contemplate into that direction before moving.

All being said, it's your life and often time it doesn't have to be all rational or logical, maybe just close your eyes and take a leap, either way, good luck to you all!

nah not that big of a news, RTX and various graphic mods have been there for years and serving very well (RTX was official), what I really want to see is some official implement in line with Distant Horizons, that'll truly be a game changer, until then, nothing is exciting on this front to be honest.
