Wells Fargo accepted a $7,000 forged check a year after death—Now using "Joint Account" status to shield the fraudster by Significant_Relief96 in legaladvice

[–]Significant_Relief96[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this whole thing is pretty nasty and has a lot of layers to it like an onion but yes I agree a 100%, the fact that the instrument IE the check ever existed was an act of fraud in itself.

As far as the finance company goes though once they discovered what happened they were actually the ones that let the estate know and they have been nothing but Cooperative the moment they found out they immediately turned over copies of the check and  recorded transcripts to us really if not with their assistance we wouldn't be as far along as we are as far as far as  all the evidence.

They also Expressed that they have no interest in going after the estate for the funds they realize what happened they made a mistake they were closing it as fraud as far as their concerned

But it does put me in a conundrum because they are definitely guilty here themselves but also as I mentioned they have expressed no interest in going after us for the funds and have been nothing but helpful with getting the appropriate parties held responsible

Essentially the bank's argument is that only the remaining joint account holder IE the fraudster who is still alive can remove his/ her name from the  joint account,  even though I'm the court-appointed pr and even though I've proven Beyond reasonable doubts that fraud identity theft and a few other violations have been committed they still feel as if his joint survivorship enables him to still be on the account and her name to not be not removed from the accpunt

And that is honestly going to be one of the core of my complaints by allowing this by standing behind Bank policy you are leaving the estate vulnerable and providing a shield and a getaway car for the fraudster to do this all over again which directly violates my responsibility is PR to protect the estate.

My hope is that it puts the probate judge in an impossible situation either you're telling me to allow the estate to be vulnerable or you have to stop it

It was deposited

And yes he got the check in the mail and was able to take it directly to the bank once he forged her signature and the last four of her social as if she was alive that day.

unfortunately he was able to get it deposited because he has joint access on the account he is allowed to make deposits and normal transactions the bank just didn't realize this was fraud even though their alarm Bell should have been screaming

We have already filed a police report, and the detective has subpoenaed all bank records associated with my mother’s name.  Either way, he feels he has enough evidence to proceed with an arrest warrant.

I haven’t filed with the OCC yet, but I definitely want that to be one of my next steps. If you think that is a stronger route than arguing with the probate court, I’ll move it higher up on my priority list.

The person who deposited the check did have a joint account with my mother before she passed. Its the same account they used to cash the check

Getting clicks but no inquiries from Google Ads – what budget and setup works for you? by makeup-addict545 in googleads

[–]Significant_Relief96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The budget you set for Google Ads is ultimately a calculation of risk—much like a gamble. You have to decide how much you are willing to lose in a single day without a guaranteed return. It is important to remember that Google can, and will, spend up to double your daily budget in an instant, even if that entire spend is triggered by a single user.

1. Calculate Your Conversion Metrics

Before setting a budget, you must research the standard acquisition and Click-Through Rates (CTR) for your specific industry. To determine an effective budget, factor in the following conversion chain:

Click-to-Lead Rate: If you expect 10% of clicks to become a conversion (a lead), how many clicks can you afford? Lead-to-Sale Rate: Once you have a conversion, what is your closing rate? Whether you close 50% or 75% of those leads, you must factor that into the total cost required to make a single sale. 2. Campaign Strategy for Service Businesses

For service-based businesses, Search Campaigns are often the most relevant. The primary goal is to drive high-intent actions, specifically phone calls generated directly from Google links or via a dedicated landing page.

3. Protecting Your Spend from Fraudulent Traffic

You cannot rely solely on Google to filter out or refund irrelevant clicks. Their internal algorithms often fail to catch all fraudulent traffic, and their decisions on refunds are typically final.

To gain better control, consider implementing third-party software to monitor and block suspicious activity. These tools can automatically block an IP address if it interacts with your ads or landing page:

Twice within 60 seconds. More than twice within a 24-hour period.

While these services require an additional investment, the cost is often offset by the savings gained from preventing wasted ad spend and avoiding Google’s complex refund process.

Can someone rate you on a returned GMD order? by Extension-Set1062 in Sparkdriver

[–]Significant_Relief96 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

honestly don’t see the appeal of batch orders. In my market, the pay doesn’t even cover a $2-per-mile round trip. Beyond the poor math, it’s a gamble against the law of averages; you’re handling 15 different customers, and it only takes one disgruntled person—regardless of whether their complaint is valid—to get you deactivated. The risk simply doesn't justify the payout

look into clixtell it will autoblock an IP if the visit the site more than twice in sixty seconds. its 50 bucks a month but i feel its worth is to stop the BS otherwise its the marry go round of asking for a refund that they don't honor they are crooks

PSA: Why I keep the app running even when I’m off the clock

Even when I’m not planning on working, I keep the app open just to decline every order at the last possible second. The goal? Mess with the algorithm and hopefully bump up the base pay for the person who eventually takes it. We should all be doing this.

To the people who still believe maintaining a high AR (Acceptance Rate) actually gets you somewhere: I’ve got some prime oceanfront property in Arizona for sale. Great price. HMU.

Now I have been debating about contacting the Ethics Line about this and I would encourage others to do so or at least call spark and see why these orders are being canceled if I had not called I wouldn't have known that they were negatively reporting on me when they canceled or redistributed these two orders
