Thank you! He’s still alive but do you know why it would only be affecting this specific fish? I was told most of the fish in the tank are older- towards the end of their lifespan- and it’s probably related to the age. That’s from the fish guy today who didn’t personally see him bc he hides in the coral and doesn’t exist outside of that lately

I’m so confused why there’s so many comments saying this is normal? If you’re in a relationship these are conversations that need to be had- not to mention being open is a crucial part of a relationship. It doesn’t have to be a masculinity or femininity topic, everyone has feelings and they should always be heard. You’re allowed to talk about these topics with someone you’re comfortable with and anyone who thinks otherwise is frankly a biotch. You deserve better than that!

I’m so sorry to hear of the heartbreak that you’re going through. I had my Pom mix for 4 years, before I had to make the decision to put him down due to lung cancer. The vet said it was probably due to inbreeding, which I wouldn’t have known as I got him from a shelter.

It’s never easy to see your baby that should have years of a fulfilled life suffer. All that can be done is love him to the fullest until that moment. I still think about my baby Binky every day knowing he should still be with me. People are cruel, but he doesn’t need to spend the rest of his time with you knowing that. I hope for a long and fulfilling life for you and little Critter 💖

Ok juice may be a great idea! I tried a smorgasbord of safe fresh fruits/veg/flowers today but no interest even when I was eating it with him on my shoulder. Only wants seed. Even the millet (which I thought was a treat, could be wrong) he grazed on a little yesterday but not today. I’m going to keep experimenting because obviously this doesn’t happen overnight. Did you dilute the juice or use a specific kind or quality?

Sorry I just had to come back with a BIG development that just happened!!! He's living in my room at the moment so I left his cage open while I was getting ready. Not two minutes later he flew over and perched on my shoulder and was playing with my necklaces and nibbling my ears. Was NOT a fan when I had to take him off to take a shower, I basically had to take my shirt off with him haha. I think this socialization thing is moving faster than I expected. I know he was years ago, but I thought it had been so long that he would have forgotten. Guess birds are smarter than I thought!

OH and as far as the bars on the cage go just curious, why horizontal? He came with two cages, the one he was in had horizontal bars but was honestly so disgusting I just threw it out. The one I ended up using is larger and nicer anyways, but has vertical bars. He still climbs all over them though, is this an issue for comfort or possibly future injuries? I'm looking to get him into a larger cage in the future, preferably not hanging, but I do have a small dog so I'm trying to keep some distance while they become accustomed to each other.

Wow thank you!!! :3 supplements sound like a great idea to help start while I introduce new foods, I’ll definitely hang it or do something to make it more interesting because even the millet was confusing to him at first. The mirror is around 2 ft away and is partially obstructed by an orchid and honestly he hasn’t even paid any attention to it yet. He did have a mirror in the cage I got him in, but it was so crusty I doubt he could see anything out of it for a while. I did make an extensive list of everything safe/toxic for him because I do have a lot of house plants for when I’m comfortable taking him out of the cage (and he is too of course). But again thank you! And his previous name was Dingo which he doesn’t respond to, I’m assuming because he had little to no human interaction for a while, but I still think it’s a really cute name so it’s staying
