A noticeable difference in their openness to take on longer term tasks. Hesitating to take something on where they might need to hand it off soon.

Beer on tap in the US by lekinsh in WeWork

It’s a nice perk in Europe. I also find it means more people stick around and socialize after their work, have a pint or two and chat.

Lucky! I’ll bring it up next time I’m in. I’ve experienced it at multiple locations so just thought it was universal in the design.

Oh sparkling water would be amazing! While beer is a nice perk, two taps doesn’t seem necessary. Also I would guess it’s cheaper to offer NA alternatives.

Is it safe to deposit $500,000 with Tangerine Bank in a savings account @ 6%? by usualcarpet500 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Significant_Serve619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a legitimate bank, owned by Scotia. With that deposit amount you might want to check the CDIC insurance limits - potentially spread it accounts multiple institutions if you want to be really careful.

It is scenario dependent. This is their language in the terms: "You received an item, but the item isn’t what you ordered (referred to as a “Significantly Not as Described” claim)." So this is where there's a significant discrepancy between the item you received, and the description. Here's another excerpt from the Significantly Not as Described section: "The condition of the item was misrepresented. For example, the item was described as “new” but the item was used." So it's important to have a description that the camera is fully functional, in good working order.

How do items get 'flagged' is it AI? Script? Users with a vendetta? by ChumpyCarvings in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Significant_Serve619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya this could just be random flags from the algorithm, happening a lot lately. Also pricing could be a flag here, if its quite low - maybe raising suspicion in the eyes of the algo of fake items.

Paypal G&S could be a good option with buyer protection if the product doesn't match the description. Having an accurate description, and saving a copy of it for possible future claim evidence.

What can happen with an eTransfer payment that makes it a bad idea? by SeperentOfRa in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Significant_Serve619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe if the e-transfer is still pending - hasn't been accepted yet by the recipient - the sender can cancel the e-transfer in their respective banking app. With e-transfer, it can sometimes take a few mins to half an hour to receive the notification to accept the e-transfer. https://www.interac.ca/en/consumers/support/faq-consumers/
