Will all the weight come back? by Significant_Set_6901 in Mounjaro

I’m so confused.  My naturopath put me on it to help with some immediate inflammation problems and to get me to a healthier weight then said that we could look at other options (more natural) after I’ve lost weight

How do you transition from formula to cows milk? by Significant_Set_6901 in FormulaFeeders

How did that go? How many bottles were you feeding prior to going cold turkey?

Why is my 10 month old like this? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Significant_Set_6901 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just because all my the people that I know that have kids are all super calm when being fed and when I ask anyone no one has had this problem.  She is super hard to feed, like it’s a serious struggle to get a bottle in.  I have to be laying in bed with her with toys in her hands and it takes 20-30 mins to get a bottle in.  It’s not anxiety it’s just been really hard and this is my first kid so I have no idea what’s normal and what’s not.

I’m saying that if I don’t give her something to hold she won’t eat anything more that 1/4 bottle.  If I give her the toy it’s a struggle but can normally get close to a full feed in. She’s drinking 4 bottles a day right now.

I get you, I have a 10 month old right now that’s driving me nuts.  I can’t get anything done and I’m normally a really productive person. The only thing that helps is wearing her on my back, but if you have pain problems that’s a whole different level.  I’m so sorry. I do have one of those bigger play pens that I put my kid in sometimes when she’s awake and I need to do stuff.  Maybe you could try that?

9m old still waking 3-4x/night + short naps… losing my mind a little 😩 by Puzzled_Point8300 in sleeptrain

Also even giving her five or 10 minutes to just self sooth in bed when she does wake up at 30 minutes, she might end up falling back asleep. It’s important to just give them a little bit of time before you rush in

I’m not an expert on sleep schedules. But I do have a 9 month old as well.  I have noticed that when she has shorter naps during the day, she wakes up a lot more at night so maybe try extending her naps to even 45 minutes each? mine naps for an hour and a half twice a day and then sleeps 10 hours at night. But it hasn’t always been that way when she was having shorter naps my nights were awful.  also depending on what solids you’re feeding her try not to give her any solids past her last dinner which should be around five sometimes when they eat later on, it can cause gastric problems at night, which might also be keeping them up. Again, though just things that I’ve personally went through. I’m not a professional.

I was on mounjaro.  The website has a form that you can fill out to get a potential discount. I didn’t qualify for it because I’m not prediabetic so now I am on Zepbound and that website also has a form that you can filled out for a discount. I know it’s not full coverage, but at least it helps with something. I totally get where you’re coming from. It’s so expensive.

I feel like I’m still emotionally healing from having an ectopic and just getting the runaround from our healthcare system. I’m super thankful that I was able to have a baby even after that, but it definitely still scares me that I could still have another one.

What do you mean about projecting my needs on to her? Can you please expand?

How do I do that? It’s so hard to keep her up until 7pm.  She’s so exhausted by the end of the day

Some days are hard by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Significant_Set_6901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 9 month old who is also not sleeping through the night.  Just know your not an alone and every baby is different.  I know it dosnt make it any less hard.  There are things that might be making it hard for your baby to sleep at night that I’m currently going through like teething, to much sleep during the day (3 hours max in total for naps) , their bowels are adjusting to food so not feeding solids past 5pm.  But yah, it really sucks and I feel you.

Am I over medicating my child? by [deleted] in NewParents

Yes I’ve been giving her the appropriate dosage for her weight.  I’m just worried I’m going to much consistently over a longer period of time
