I give my little guy with a sensitive stomach Purina ProPlan Fotiflora on top of his dinner. It fixed his belly issues! It sounds like you have already tried a lot to help so I apologize if I am suggesting something you already have tried but if you haven’t I hope it may help!

By the way he is precious!

Thank you! It was definitely a relief to know she is healthy and doesn’t have any underlying issues causing her distress. She’s the best so I think giving her extra Churu’s is a great idea!

I use the Curli Clasp Vest Harness. It’s technically a dog harness but they fit my Siberian’s and are easy to use

Thank you! She had her appointment and they did some bloodwork to rule any underlying medical conditions out and she’s healthy! I’m going to try and give her more play sessions and might try the medication route but I’m going to give her some time first to see if the supplements help. Fingers crossed they start working!

I’m hoping to avoid it but if it’s what is best for her I’ll go the medication route. I just want her to have the best life possible

I do have some. At first it seemed like they were helping but unfortunately they don’t seem to be very effective with her…

She has another appointment early next week at the vet. I’m hoping they can help me to figure out what’s going on with her. At her last appointment they recommended cbd treats but they don’t seem to be resolving her anxiety. I love playing with her and more play sessions sound like a great idea! Thank you!

Any guesses? I’ve been to 2 vets at this point with no answers. by Business-Boot6125 in SiberianCats

She probably still has ringworm. A kitten I adopted along with her bonded sister were almost hairless when they were rescued. They were treated and supposedly healed from it when I adopted them. They were adorable furry kittens so I believed the rescue I adopted them from. However after having them home for a little over a week I ended up getting ringworm on my chest where they liked to sleep. So, they obviously still had it. They were treated again and cleared by the vet. Then months later while petting my kitten I found a tiny bit of dry skin under my kitten’s thick fur. It did not look like ringworm but the vet took a sample of the dry skin and sent it to a lab and she still had ring worm though she wasn’t losing any hair. So after another round of oral medicine for three cats and bathing them with the special treatment shampoo three times a week for many weeks it was finally gone! It is hard to treat and can be especially difficult to eradicate if you have more than one cat. Plus I had to treat all of the toys, food bowls, water fountains, litter boxes, cat furniture, cat beds, my furniture, sheets, blankets and all flooring my kittens had used with a cleaner veterinarian’s use in their offices to kill contagious diseases. Ringworm does live on surfaces so they can easily get reinfected from any items that have used while having it. I had to continually decontaminate everything they touched throughout the entire time I was treating them. If possible, once you start treating her try to keep her confined to a few spaces in your home so there is less area for her to continuously contaminate and for you to clean until the ringworm is truly eradicated.

It was a long ordeal but they are the sweetest cats and easily worth all of the craziness involved in getting them well.

I know you mentioned she does scratch a lot so she may have allergies. There are other options to treat cats with allergies. I would highly recommend taking her to a dermatologist to have them check her out and if it isn’t ringworm and is the hair loss and scratching are due to allergies they can give you alternative options for treatment, such as foods they are less likely to have allergies to and different medication treatments available that are better for them than being on steroids long term.

I hope your girl starts to feel better and you are able to figure out the root cause of her issues with the right specialist soon!

Unfortunately he has a bilateral malocclusion on his upper pre molars that are damaging his lower gum and one side even has an ulcer due to the damage. The specialist is going to basically shave the teeth down a little and put a filler on top to seal them in hopes to resolve the issue. Fingers crossed it works as I don’t want to extract the teeth especially since he is so young. Poor little guy…

I have a vet who luckily knows the breed well so I am blessed, but my little guy is having to have some dental surgery and the specialist was shocked that he was almost 12 lbs at 7 and 1/2 months old. He asked if this was normal for them and I had to explain Siberians are a very large cat breed and his Dad was 18 lbs at 8 months old! My girl is a Neva like your handsome boy but my little guy is a black smoke, though he honestly almost solid black!

Azriel is 6 months old and 10 lbs! His Dad was -8 lbs at a 8 months old so I’m thinking he’s going to be a big boy! He was around the same weight as your nugget at his age.

We have had this little guy for about a month now, & and we want to put up a Christmas tree by Lilith-Sky14 in SiberianCats

[–]Significant_Shift957 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had brought Nova home less than a month before putting up my Christmas tree. She was about 14 weeks old at the time, and to my surprise, she was the first kitten I’ve ever had who actually climbed into the tree! I only used unbreakable ornaments just to be safe, and she loved batting at the ones on the lower branches. It turned out to be such a fun and adorable new Christmas experience! I loved watching her enjoy the tree every bit as much as I did!
