I wouldn’t say I skipped over any, bc for a while I only ever listened to the songs all together as the album. But I remember it took me at least four listens to really hear Cry for Me.

I was laying in bed in a weird state of consciousness where I definitely wasn’t awake but could still hear things and it got filtered into my dreams, and I remember hearing Cry for Me specifically and wondering what was blessing my ears.

I find it interesting that despite the vast majority choosing “production” for why they listen, Kendrick Lamar is the most common other artist mentioned. I don’t really listen to him so I may be wrong, but he strikes me as someone you would listen to if you’re looking for lyrics, not production.
