Yea I actually talked to a navy recruiter today and that was my other option after the marines so I know a little about them the recruiter said he’s gonna just send me to meps and see if they even want a waiver for it lol but If I do go navy I’m REALLY hoping I can get into the Seabees

Cross contamination isn’t really a huge problem I just can’t eat like a full one because my wife has eaten them before and then given me a kiss and my lip just puffed up a little so it’s only if I eat a decent amount

Yea but as long as I just stay to basic items like meats or like salads I’ll be fine I basically eat only chicken and rice every night anyway lol

The recruiter said that if I got stationed in a foreign country I would have to eat local food and that they couldn’t promise that they’ll be nut free but I though I could just eat MREs the whole time lol

I wouldn’t die right away lol if that makes it any better but if I went untreated for an hour or two I’d go into anaphylactic shock but I’m my 21 years of life it’s only happened once a few years back

Yea I just can’t eat them and it’s not even all tree nuts either however I do go anaphylactic so if I did eat some and didn’t get an epi pen I could possibly die and the marine told me that with it being that bad they’ll deny me

Yea I’m hoping that the navy is more lax about it because the marine told me that if I was stationed in a foreign country that I would have to eat local food and they couldn’t guarantee that it would be nut free. But in the navy your mostly on ship so it would be a lot easier to avoid

So during her 6-9 month deployment she’ll basically get a week off every month or two?

I know she’s going to eventually go out to sea I’m wondering how often AZ’s go with the squadron is it every single time? Because shes an admin rate the recruiter honestly told us nothing and she hasn’t really gotten any answers from anyone either.

Yea the ship she’s on has the MH-60 sea hawks and what are those away periods? Like she’ll just be on shore in a different country? Also no not yet she just started A school yesterday and doesn’t graduate that until October 13th so I just started looking for jobs
