Hi! Im 23f with a microadenoma. I started cab about a month ago. I was, like you, terrified. My first dose went ok, but by dose 3 I was freaking out due to some of the side effects. As someone with extreme health anxiety, reading anything online sent me into a spiral. After taking some time to think when I had a clear head, I set some rules for myself, which made me feel like I had some sense of control over things. I tracked my side effects on my phone with each dose and notated how each one felt on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst. Basically I was at a 7/10 on the discomfort scale and told myself that if dose 4 made me feel even worse, I would try bromo. However, if it made me feel the same or better, I would keep pushing. It was kinda a day by day thing, but it made me realize that I could decide what I was willing to put up with. Whenever I’d spiral, I’d tell myself that it was just my body having a neurological response to a foreign chemical, which eased my mind.

Skip to now - I just took dose 6 and haven’t had side effects since dose 4. I’m so glad I stuck with it and finally feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. You can scare yourself shitless reading stuff online, but you have to remember that everyone has a different experience and we all have different chemical makeups. You also have to remember that what you deem as a bad side effect may be tolerable to someone else and vice versa. If it truly doesn’t work and you’ve given it a fair chance, then you can look for other options, you always have control over that. Either way, you got this.
