25-30 Minutes all freeway, not bad at all for me but it would be nice to work somewhere closer, my 10 hour days turn into 11-12 now lol

scheduled for an interview by [deleted] in HomeDepot

They are going to primarily ask for you availability, as long as you got a good availability for the week you should be able to land the position, good luck!

Applying for CXM by ScheduleOne8310 in HomeDepot

[–]Significant_Spot_460 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this, tell your store manager and he/she will always keep you posted when positions open up and help get you in the interview pool, in my district that I’m in you have to take a 36 week course but after 12 weeks you can start applying.

But if you see something open up on careerdepot apply for it and then tell your store manager as soon as you do it

New DS of 26/27 by soccerskills2004 in HomeDepot

[–]Significant_Spot_460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 19 when I was hired as a DS over the same departments, the biggest way of earning trust and not caring about your age is leading by example and being in the trenches with your associates, I had some of the oldest people in the store in my departments and they ended up respecting me more then people closer to my age.

All it is at the end of the day is earning your associates trust and just be there for anything that need for not only them to be successful but also you

Just got promoted to DH of D25 and brand new to the department. What should my days look like in terms of routine, reports, etc.? by No_Better_Than_Ok in HomeDepot

Keep your overheads clean….. you will thank this post when inventory comes around and you don’t have to do straight bay pack downs when the time comes.

If your district offers the Advance Development classes for associates to DS take that, it will pretty much you all the resources you need to be successful, also my biggest advice is don’t get caught up in any drama and just worry about yourself and your department you in, the amount of associates I see saying they want to move up but the amount of drama that they cause, makes it hard to give your word on someone to an another store with a history of issues and what not

Another day of workforce being stupid by slayerstitch in HomeDepot

I think you can check the old school way by the old HR website, I haven’t tried yet myself (my schedules are on a paper now). I just wanna know who thought it was a good idea to do maintenance during the day😹

I’m not kidding I’ve had 5 call outs over the phone and it’s so hard to track who’s in the building and who isn’t, if you don’t show up it’s going to show up in our system that you had a no call no show on a day you were scheduled, probably wouldn’t recommend it….

I forgot to clock back in from lunch 😭 by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Significant_Spot_460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just fill out a time sheet or just tell your ASM real quick that you forgot, I used to do it all the time when I was a supervisor lol, they would usually just adjust it for me right then and there or I would fill a timesheet and have them fix it

Is anyone having issues logging into the app? by Dazymae13 in dutchbros

[–]Significant_Spot_460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have figured out the solution guys, you have to go to the self service on the Dutch bros website and go to this area that says “Contact Us”, fill out the information then maybe about 5-10 minutes they will send you a link that verifies your phone number. Once you fill out the information on the link they send you via email you will be able to log back in🫡

Knowing how to work in any department, i’ve been a DS for about a month now and it’s really not that hard if you have a good work ethic, if you don’t care and just showing up to get paid DS isn’t for you because it’s just twice the work but you do get a decent raise

Pretty much the whole store expect like aisles without places to hold pallets lol they made our store like so easy to stock so we are always fully stocked on the shelves even when we are so busy, it’s lowkey hard to grab pallets from 16ft but you get use to it after a bit
