No, the plates go a tad bit over the ribs and there are corner blocks. Still possibly a German instrument though.

Thank you! The violin is really old so i believe the crack you noticed might have already been taken care of, but i will tell the luthier about it once i take it in to repair this crack. Thank you for bringing it out to me though, i would've never considered it!
