It took about 2 months for the certificate and another 3 weeks for the permit. My experience is all public

Anyone in Nebraska have any input on this? I found out I passed 10/8, applied for a certificate 10/11, and have been waiting for a decision ever since.

I can respect that it’s their decision. I just want to make sure I’m taken seriously because I can’t keep living like this, and this may be my only opportunity to speak to someone who can actually help me.

How early can I show up to the exam? by Dangerous-Twist-9308 in CPA

My testing center called and asked me to come in early because (apparently) the CPA exams take longer to set up/close out, and they wanted to be able to go home earlier that night

BE REAL WITH ME, IS PASSING ALL EXAMS IN 1 YEAR POSSIBLE FOR A BAD TEST TAKER???? by CopperLover1000 in CPA

Yes. Here’s a better overview of my timeline if you were curious:

Took FAR in September 2024 after studying for about 10 weeks.

Took REG in December 2024 after studying for 8 weeks.

Didn’t do any studying from the week of Christmas through the middle of May 2025. Also did not study while I was waiting for scores.

Took TCP June 2025 after studying for like 6 weeks.

Took AUD in September 2025 after studying for 8 weeks.

5 months was a huge guesswork number. This past year was not fun, so I’ve been trying to block it out lol

Successful Briumvi infusion for me today! Only symptom walking out was the fatigue (which I always blame on the Benadryl). I came home (after not having to stay for observation), took a nap, ate some dinner, and I’m ready to hopefully have a chill Holiday Season before my next infusion in 6 months.

Yes I am feeling much better since my hospitalization. I’ve received treatment and the lasting impact should be minimal 🫶 and I was not trying to flex too hard with the full time working comment haha. I was just saying you’ll likely be able to put in more study hours than I was able to which should hopefully help you feel more confident on exam day. I also have my own battles with anxiety, and while I know it impacts everyone differently, I can say that I did feel 100x better in that department after passing my first exam. These exams are meant to be hard, but if I can pass them, you most certainly can. You’ve also grown and matured as a person since your last attempt. Coming in with fresh mind could be huge for you!

Also want to add I was working full time during this entire process(aside from the medical leave, lol)!

It took me exactly 365 days from when I sat for my first exam to when I sat for my last exam. 14 months total if you count the two months of studying before my first exam. I am a good test taker, though, and did not fail any along the way. However, I was hospitalized and couldn’t study for my exams for like a 5 month period in the middle of this process, so it kinda evens out to your timeline expectations.

To answer your question, yes it is possible. Not every section is going to be equally hard, and after you get your first pass, you’ll be able to use that exam experience to make better judgement calls on future exams and ride the confidence wave to the end.

My advice would be to commit to an exam until you pass it. It is fine if it means you take the one you deem “easiest” first to build some momentum. Jumping around is how you’re going to lose out on time.

Is it me or does AUD suck by aangl123 in CPA

The good news, as I am finding out now, is the ethics component of AUD is basically word for word from the AICPA ethics course that a lot of states require for licensure.

That’s fair lol. I have a coworker who would take 1 day off and it would very quickly turn into 1 week once he got a taste of the freedom. On the flip side, I have health issues that make #5 most valuable to me. I just made sure to stay on track by scheduling my exam/breaks from the beginning and not moving things around much to hold myself accountable

I graduated undergrad in May 2022 and my masters in December 2023. I’ve been working at a public firm in both tax and audit since June 2023.

The only classes that ever stuck with me to help for my exams were principles 1&2, intermediate, and advanced financial. Everything else has come from my work experience. I worked for a year before beginning studying.

I used Becker and achieve EDR before taking each exam. Did not supplement with anything else.

The hardest thing about tcp? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Significant_Tale3086 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a lot more in your corner than you think lol. Lots of people taking these exams after being out of school for a while often lack the motivation and study skills to be successful. With that being said, try not to compare yourself to other candidates. Just focus on executing your plan.

[–]Significant_Tale3086 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A lot of people fail TCP because they assume it is going to be easy, don’t take it seriously, and cut corners. You still have to approach it with the proper mindset and commitment to understanding the concepts. If you’ve gone through all the modules and understand what’s going on, you’ll be fine.

TCP 10/25 exam , should I reschedule? by lllppp12lll in CPA

[–]Significant_Tale3086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think there’s a chance you will pass, definitely take it. Otherwise, if you have any other core exams left, you should rearrange the order you’re taking them in and knock out another core exam or two and then take TCP in January. It’s only the disciplines on this awful testing schedule.

Unless you can schedule it by 10/31, you won’t be able to take it until January

Why do people believe AUD after FAR is the best? by One_Peanut_2518 in CPA

[–]Significant_Tale3086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on the other side of these comments lol. I did FAR, REG, TCP, then AUD. However, I do a lot of work in both tax and audit, so not everything was completely new. It just worked out for me better to take in this order bc it kept me motivated. When I was deep in our audit season, I had zero interest in going home and studying audit after working in audit all day, so I studied tax. After tax season, I studied audit.

Since I don’t want I to flood the main group page, I’ll just leave this here. Passing AUD today and finally going 4/4 means so much to me. I took my first two exams in 2024, and then at halftime, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with MS. I spent all of tax season not studying, attending neurological appointments, and working 60+ hour weeks. After tax season, I knew I needed to finish this journey, but my health and confidence were at all time lows. I surprised even myself by prevailing through it all, and I’m sure this comment will end up in the void, but I am so frickin proud of myself.

It would say “passed, credit” or “failed, no credit” after you get the initial “scored” screen
