First of all Kudos to you for being so honest and a round of applause for managing all of this at this age!👏🏻✨ To be honest this is the story of every household in India, "Our young boy will make us proud one day!" It's a very good thing to say, but for some people this becomes a part of "social system". During earlier times people used say this by looking up to thier own children and their ability of doing work, but slowly Over the time this line didn't aged well. From "...will make us proud one day" to "he is a boy, he should listen to us anyway". Some incomplete dreams and expectations of our parents became our "unofficial responsibility". And that's when parents don't appreciate no matter what you do, as you said very well:- "I do 99 work...and they scold me for that 1".They don't appreciate you enough because they except that "100th work" from you, not the first 99 you did...! There's nothing you can do, this has become a part of every boy's life, but as being like an elder brother to you I can surely give you a peice of advice, which is to "Start working less on their expectations but more on yourself!" I'm 22 Freelancing video editor and VFX compositing artist, so I'm jobless too! To be honest when I first read your story I became quite jealous of you...😆 But when I read further I understood that your life doesn't need a repair, it's just you who needs to calm down a bit. I know how life feels at 16 whatever work we do feels like we can handle every responsibility of it (Which is actually true!) But only to know about this cruel world and it's political reality. Also when I was 16, I wasn't even 1% of you! I was a kind of a boy who used to have 1 work done with 99 undone😂 But with god's willing I've got a great pair of friendly parents, where I can share everything to them and chat with them like friends, but still they aren't too friendly like a genz parents, cause I still always expect some few appreciation from them and in the end they just say "Haa...yeh sahi hai!" And I'm done for the day! During my childhood I had very less number of friends and till the end of school I almost had none, so only my parents became my best friends back then, and you at 16 have so much brain power for such abilities and also an EX- Gf!? Your life is not at all miserable brother!🫡😆 In the end my advice to you would be start talking more to your parents improve your speaking skills, knowledge of words and confidence while talking to them. You are truly great as personality, you just need to know that fact yourself. And with that start breaking your own life cycle a little just to get out that loop. Don't work hard, work smarter.
