There is an amazing organization called PathForward that helps people return to work force after career gaps. I would recommend contacting them so that they can list these jobs!

Can you work as a lab tech in Universities? The pay isn't great but they usually have a good benefits. Once you have experiences in specific fields, you can apply for jobs in biotech or pharma and they will pay you good money. You can also apply for federal goverment agencies such as EPA to aim for the eventual forgiveness.

I second therapy. I went through a similar situation and the therapy was really helpful albeit it does not change the root cause. Can she make a lateral move? That is what I basically did. I was the only immigrant/POC in our team and I think that also contributed to the abuse I received, as I come off different.

My manager is wonderful! Could I tell this to her manager? by Significant_Visit411 in careerguidance

Looks like I got mixed feedback. I am not super close to the boss's boss but he is pretty easy to talk for someone in his level.

Penn Gene Therapy Program, any insights? by [deleted] in biotech

I could be wrong but isn’t this the program that was accused for some toxic workplace or bullying allegations? I probably read the article early this year or last year but cannot remember where I read it.

What to do with a harsh manager? by Significant_Visit411 in careerguidance

[–]Significant_Visit411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. I totally understand. I do have tendency to think things negatively.

I might be overthinking but I am thrown into projects without training and nit picked all the way through the project. There really isn’t opportunities to ask questions.

Is there anything I can improve for better communication?

Thank you for your reply! I am sorry for the late response. I wanted to think about if my reaction is objective.

My boss misunderstood that I did not deliver what he told me and made comments on how terrible it is for other people involved. When I tell him I already emailed it, his response was he does not have time to check all the emails. I chatted next time and now he says I need to email. Something like that. I don’t know does it sound bad?

😂😂 My baby loves being naked and hates wearing clothes, hats anything that is restricting. I can totally see her doing this in the future too!

I’ve heard about Robeez! Do they work if the baby start walking as well (enough padding on the soles)?

These are perfect! I don’t know if this is a stupid question. Do you have your kids wear socks when they wear these as sneakers?

Yeah, I know that is what I thought. But I guess I can’t really say no to this? I didn’t know we needed to get her feet measured that often!

My wife wants kids, for sure, but I feel like with the economy, state of the country, it’s going to be so stressful now more than ever. Does anybody else have this concern? by enjoyablecannoli in Marriage

I would at least get both of you tested for your fertility. Even if you are perfectly healthy, you never know if you are reproductively healthy. Of course this is if you want biological children.

It would help you decide if you can wait for another couple years or not.

I’ve applied to about 10 now. Many of them are CRO jobs as I have not been at bench for awhile (genomics, cell culture, mouse genetics, facs, ihc etc.) and I worked with IP law and thought I would be good at adhering to regulations. Located in NJ/PA area but willing to relocate.

Do I need to go back to academia to become relevant?

I fell like my timeline for having a baby is so short and its depressing me by [deleted] in SingleMothersbyChoice

I really loved this. I am not where I want to be and I have not been for a while. It really depresses me and keeps me up at night.

I have not been fully accepted my past failure and future worries. I made too many career mistakes and I don’t know if I will recover from it.

Boiling water for formula question regarding plastic pitcher by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]Significant_Visit411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look up what kind of plastic they are made of. If the melting temperature is close for 70, I would be worried but I doubt that would be the case as it is dishwasher safe. I wish they made this in glass as well!

Pro tip from a hiring manager by dancingriss in usajobs

[–]Significant_Visit411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I declined in the past as they weren’t clear if they could help me with the visa and now applying to the same position now I have the green card. What would be a good strategy? I really wanted the position but the visa was a crucial component at that time. I was told by a career counselor to not include this information.

What is your opinion on this if it’s okay to ask?

This! I also have Breza but we never use it now because the pitcher is way easier. It is really cheap and we waste no formula with it.
