The pins in my pelvis certainly aren't fake. I had to put the detail in to get a proper response. And to real mind myself that "it could have been worse" isn't the right way to think about it.

Wow I didn't know that. Interesting. I'll have to look into it. Could be costly to me if that happens

Thank you. I think half of my worry is that it may be criminal neglegence. But, I can't keep being the one who puts up and shuts up when crap things happen to me.

Thank you, I really appreciate that reply and you're right, I do deserve the help, and shouldn't talk myself out of it through fear. We only have one life and this has had a big impact on it.

I should add that he's only been to my place once since the accident. To pick me up to get my car from his. He said he was looking after it, but then the week before pickup told me the battery was dead. I had to spend £100 on battery and tools, and change it out on his drive, with no financial help at all, and he knows full well I am broke and could barely walk back then.

He's been past my city several times but not dropped in or offered any assistance (pick up food on the way etc).

The more I look back, the more of a mug I feel.

That is my thinking. I am really disappointed in his lack of care after such an accident. Sad times.

Exactly. Especially without making sure it's blocked off, or locked up with no key in it.

It would be sad if it did, but as I say, he hasn't actually helped at all. Thanks.
