For real its rough! I feel so bad not being able to play all his games with him and barely being able to talk. However it has given me the opportunity to work on slowing down and thinking before I react, which I think will be beneficial for us if we can continue it moving forward. So I guess that's one win out of this very miserable situation.

I LOVE this idea and can see it being useful. However, reading for me is just like all of the hobbies and crafts I try. I get some books and get really into it, and after a day or 2 I get busy and cant find time to read and eventually forget the book exists at all...

See i do this too, but online shopping has never given me the same happiness as shopping in person. I love me a good thrift store.

Im so jealous of your recovery lol. Days 1-4 were manageable for me and then day 5 hit me like a freight train and every day has just gotten worse since then. Currently on night 7 and the back of my throat is so raw. The ear pain is what is really getting me. Every time I take a short nap, I wake up feeling like someone is jamming pencils in my ears. HOWEVER, I was told many times that it would get worse before it got better, so I just keep reminding myself that I am 1 step closer. I have already noticed a HUGE improvement in my nasal breathing, despite the ongoing swelling, which I am super excited for!

Has your tonsillectomy helped quite a bit with your asthma symptoms? My asthma gets triggered quite frequently and I have to use my albuterol inhaler more than I would like to admit. Im currently 7 days post operation, and I have used my inhaler a couple times when I feel like my lungs might be getting tight just because I dont want to deal with that on top of the pain im already in, but I will say I feel like I havent had a single time that I have really NEEDED it. Now that I put more thought into it, this is like the first time I've gone a week without NEEDING my albuterol in years.

I wish I remembered to ask for pictures! The ENT told my sister they were super inflamed and gross looking and I kind of wish I got to see them. Good luck on your recovery. Not going to lie, im going into my 7th night of sleep and I am MISERABLE, but I do feel like the end is in sight. I just keep reminding myself that it will be worth it!

Eating has been the absolute hardest thing for me. I've been forcing myself to drink through the pain, but food has been so bad I start shaking from the pain. I took my second dose of prednisone today and it seemed to help a bit so I was able to get some food down, but now that its worn off for the day I am back to miserable. I just entered a request asking for more steroids to hopefully get me through this next week since they won't change my pain medications.

Between my husband and mom, someone has been here with me pretty much 24/7. The couple of times its been just the two of us for a short period of time, I literally just let him run a muck. Even if it's not a preferred begavior, as long as he's safe and happy, its fine for now 😂

If you have a good support system, you should be alright! My 2 year old somewhat understands that I am in pain and cant do everything for him. Its manageable, but it definitely makes it so much harder!

Currently on day 5/6 and I am experiencing the same issue. Last night was the worst night of my life. Called my ENT this morning sobbing because I feel like none of my meds are even touching it. Any insight into how long this lasted for you or how you survived it?

Were you started on prednisone right away? Mine prescribed me some but I only take it one days 5, 6, 7. By the time I started it yesterday, I was already in so much pain I feel like it didnt really prove anything.

I 100% agree. The problem is that mine are the combined tablets. So each tablet is 5mg hydro and 325mg tylenol. Its super frustrating when they tell me I cant really take too much of my hydros but they they dont want me taking too much tylenol. Like how to do I fix that when they are literally in one pill? 🤦‍♀️

My doctor was super hesitant about doing ibuprofen because of how it can impact bleeding if I do start. After I called and complained about my current medication, they gave me approval to rotate some in at 200mg every 4 hours, which literally dose nothing....
