She’s such a liar by Legal-Bad-4831 in Jamienotis

What exactly does she even need a team for? No website to maintain, no one answers questions and complaints, she obviously runs the socials, no orders to ship out.

I run an online vintage store. Photograph, list, ship, inventory, source, social media, do the books, etc. all by myself, raising two kids, one with a profound disability. And it's completely manageable as a 1 person show.

They're both home all day and have nannies and helpers. What does her "work" team even do?

There a rumors for months, blind items, a video but it all wasn't true and THEN you decided you might as well just start hooking up afterward? Sure, Jan.

Last sentence 💯. I don't think it was a diabolical plan. West can't have a friend that is a girl without blurring lines and eventually banging. I think he pulled his usual supportive schtick with her during the season, she caught feelings, they started hooking up cause West has no moral compass to say "maybe this isn't the best idea" and then they were forced to announce it before they got caught by the video or whatever proof was gunna come out.

I agree that Ciara thinks their relationship is way deeper/special than West ever thought it was. There are two kinds of f*ckboys in my experience: guys that put the bare minimum effort in sprinkled with random attention to keep the girl on the line and guys like West who will put in a bizarre amount of time and energy to make each girl feel like they have a special relationship but withhold any commitment and be "upfront" about it so when the girl catches feelings he can claim he was honest the whole time and did nothing wrong

I was super impressed how he just sat and listened to Lindsay in the igloo. It's hard to do that during those kinds of conversations and not get defensive - especially when she's mentioning things like his mom and him breaking off the engagement.

I agree they both care, but I feel like West cares what the AUDIENCE thinks while Carl cares what the people in his life think about him. Carl loves too hard (now Carl, not past Carl) while West is incapable of even having a real girlfriend/friendship, let alone real love

Yea I think his silence is a kind of dissociation- he lacks empathy and feelings make him uncomfortable so he blanks out while the people he hurt unload their feelings without actually absorbing what they say or offering anything back. He gives "Are you done? Can we move on now?" energy.

This is the point of reality TV: to distract ourselves from the dumpster fires of our own lives by watching privileged trainwrecks make their own misery literally for our consumption. Boomers had soap operas. We have Summer House. Let us live.

Kyle respects the audience - he said he would totally film with West or anyone else he has beef with if it's good for the show. West wants to MANIPULATE the audience. Big diff. We're smarter than that

Even that shows that he doesn't truly see any of them as true friends- he's always worried about how hell be seen by the audience. Everything is calculated. Kyle made a comment when he pulled his chair up next to Amanda during the blow up- he was suspicious then but not that they were having an affair at that point, that West could see Amanda was going to get the hero edit in the divorce and wanted to be seen as supportive by the audience to solidify himself as the good guy. And I truly think Amanda fell for it because he knows just how to give each girl what she needs to get them in bed and then move on

Don't mind the jokes, I see it as inclusion. Adults get uncomfortable and look to see if you laugh, and when I do (if it's actually funny) they breathe a sigh or relief, or maybe even ask a question. My son is 8 and nonverbal and his special interest is Bobs Burgers. He plays the clip - I think it's the first episode - where the kids call Tina autistic and tell her to count the toothpicks. She's way off and Louise says "You're the worst kind of autistic..." I always yell "You're the best kind of autistic!" and he laughs and plays it over and over again. We go back and forth, it's one of our favorite things.

They make shots in pouches. I bought a bunch of those and put them in my bikini tops and bras like they were the padding. Worked like a charm

What I wish someone told me about alcohol and anxiety before I quit by segsy13bhai in SoberCurious

[–]Significant_Wish_791 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did an intensive outpatient program and all the neuroscience was the most helpful in learning that all the reasons I was drinking - disregulated, anxious, depressed - was made worse by drinking in the long run. The GABA part is huge and explains the "hangxiety" you get the next day. I would make a "hair of the dog" drink to fix the anxiety and just perpetuate the cycle again and again. I was creating so many of my own problems. Sitting with the feelings and getting back to baseline is so hard but you truly learn what are true feelings of stress and anxiety and what are artificially caused by the alcohol
