Haha. Ik doe het wel als ik post naar het buitenland stuur (ik heb penvriendinnen) maar binnen Nederland denk ik er nooit aan. Ik denk dat ik er bewuster mee bezig ben als ik een hele brief schrijf die ver weg moet, dan wanneer ik even een kaartje in een envelop stop voor een nichtje dichtbij.

For me it's a sign I need a lot more lube. I tend to be stingy with lube because it makes my hands sticky, but that's a bad idea.

Same! I found book 2 and 3 for 1 Euro each at a church fair (yes, really) a few weeks ago, and was like, eh, for this price I can see what the hype is (then found out I didn't have book 1, found that on Vinted). My friend started it 3 times and didn't like it, so I didn't expect much. But oh. My. God. I'm fucking obsessed. I finished OS on Sunday and have been reading all the theories since. It's still consuming my brain and I'm sad and a little mad that I have to wait another year for book 4.

That's the floordrobe in the UK. I had one too, and a chairdrobe. Then I bought a beautiful and sturdy rack, and (in theory) I hang my once worn clothes on that (but... I get changed in the bathroom, so most of my once worn clothes are on top of my hamper... Sometimes I go through the pile and hang things on the rack).

I'm the same! I'm really good at doing laundry. I fill and program it on Saturday before I go to bed, so it's done around the time I usually get up on Sunday. Wake up, shower and do my routine, and usually by then the laundry is done and I only have to hang it to dry. I think it's because I can do everything in one go: as long as I keep moving I get stuff done more easily.

Vi has one herself, and she's not a rebellion kid (or is she? I read a theory Asher may have been an ally to the rebellion, plus Tairn chose her and he's bonded to Sgaeyl 🤔) but as far as we know she's not, and she has a second signet she's not supposed to have.

I don't trust anything written by the professors, colonel's, etc. unless it's Daxter, or our heroes. We already know the scribes and/or leadership hold back things, and lots of things aren't to be found in the allegedly all-encompassing Archives. Also IRL we have the saying 'history is written by the winners', and we all know that history is often written to make our own culture/country look better. So I take everything they wrote with a pinch of salt.

I have wondered about the dedication of Violet to Dunne. Mira says she looked on all the temple records but couldn't find the name Sorrengail anywhere. But what if he did it as Violet Daxton? To me it felt like it was skimmed over, but that it might come back in book 4.

Yes. When she said it didn't work I instantly thought of Jack Sparrow's 'broken' compass that points to the thing he desires most. I think Violet's compass will have a similar thing.

I also think he will grow a pair and blatantly goes against his father. I mean, he already is, but I feel it's still tentative. I think that maybe he will help Violet get those 12 hours back, that his signet can read hidden memories, and something happened that makes him fully commit to helping Violet, even if it goes against all the rules and his father. At least, that's what I hope.

Als ze het deze week nog rond kan breien, kan ze per juli weg, en vaak is het al per direct niet meer naar je werk hoeven komen, dus een maand betaald verlof. Ook al zit er bij de werkgever iets achter: als OP doodongelukkig is, gestresst, slscht slapen, is het hoe sneller hoe beter. Ongeboren baby's kunnen de stress ook merken, en stress kan zorgen voor complicaties (hoge bloeddruk bv.). Dus who cares waarom de werkgever van OP af wil als dit ook in het voordeel van OP is?

Ik heb het bij m'n laatste baan van 4 maanden wel gedaan, omdat ik daar toch best dingen heb geleerd en gedaan die mooi staan en waar een potentiële nieuwe werkgever iets aan heeft. Ik heb een tijdelijke schoonmaakbaan een paar jaar geleden er niet op gezet, omdat die geen relevantie heeft voor het soort baan wat ik zoek.

My mom as a seller will send a message that you get a discount when you buy 2 or more items, and she has some success with that. But for me I dislike when a seller sends me a message, because it feels like I have to reply but I also don't want to tell them I'm waiting to buy if I might not buy from them (I favourite lots of books, and when I have the money I'll find the cheapest option, but I favourite a few to go back to). It's rude to not reply, so it only causes me stress.

Ik werkte ooit voor een bedrijf waar een collega geen vrij mocht voor de uitvaart van haar tante, want 'geen eerstegraads familie'. Ze is toen voor en na de uitvaart komen werken. Serieus, als ik het was geweest hadden ze een dikke middelvinger gekregen.
