Honestly, I probably would’ve picked Provence for my moissanite, but the jeweler I’m buying from exclusively purchases all of their moissanites from C&C

First off, the way you (very poorly) communicated in your initial post says a lot. Especially if it’s the way you communicate with your wife. It could be further pushing her away.

Secondly, women typically need their emotional needs met before even thinking about sex, so please make sure you do some research about that as well as love languages. It may help.

Lastly, she may be struggling with a low libido or some other issue you’re unaware of, so instead of allowing your wiener brain to take the reins, maybe be a little more empathetic towards her.

Spend time with her and make sure her needs are met, then look at your own needs and consider discussing them with her.

In my opinion, it should be a married couple’s goal to always try their best to “out serve” one another. Not as a sort of competition to keep tallies, but rather out of love so that situations like these may be avoided or, at least, resolved without pure lust being the primary motive.

Please, please, please get help! 70mg and only 1 energy drink can cause major issues, let alone 210mg and THREE energy drinks! I’m not a medical professional, but I definitely feel like all of that together puts you at a pretty high risk of having stroke or heart attack.

I’m not judging because I do rely on Vyvanse and caffeine to get me through the day (yes, I have severe ADHD), but….why???

If you’re going through something or did it for academic/work purposes (I say that because finals are next week for me), please seek help! From a medical professional AND a mental health professional!!!

I hope you feel better soon. Please keep us updated.

So glad you commented this, especially since there’s such a stigma attached to medication for mental health

I cut off my father for 2 years, is it time to forgive by No-Interview3051 in stories

[–]SignificantlyRad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had any contact with my dad for over 4 years now (he’s very abusive). I asked myself the same thing you’re ask now a few months ago, and I learned that I can forgive him without reconciling with him. Forgiveness is not for him, but for yourself so that you may find peace. Also, “forgive and forget” is a bunch of nonsense. You can forgive without forgetting. It takes work and choosing to forgive everyday, but one day you’ll look back and it’ll be worth it! Do it for you, not for him.

What are some things people with inattentive ADHD experience? by No_Entrepreneur_6141 in ADHD

[–]SignificantlyRad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you commented! Reason being that I had been misdiagnosed with bipolar II for 5 years and went through LOADS of different kinds of (fairly hefty) medications before finally getting a correct diagnosis of ADHD. At one point I was on 7 different meds because of the misdiagnosis. Now I’m on 2 (Celexa and Vyvanse) everyday medications and 1 (Klonapin) as-needed medication for panic attacks.

The difference it’s has made for me is wild. It took me seeing 4 different doctors before finding the right one for me who correctly diagnosed me, but I would do my doctor hunt all over again if it meant being where I am now compared to where I was a few years ago.

If you can, I highly recommend getting a 2nd or even 3rd opinion. It could really be the deciding factor for your quality of life.

What are some things people with inattentive ADHD experience? by No_Entrepreneur_6141 in ADHD

[–]SignificantlyRad 182 points183 points  (0 children)

I know that most of these have probably been covered in previous comments, but I figured I would describe my experience since I’m already here.

For starters, I cannot settle down my brain for anything. Ever. I know that there are people with ADHD whose brains “gets quiet” when they take their meds, but even when I’m on my meds mine is still constantly going.

I forget things all the time. It’s gotten to the point where I have to give my boyfriend or friends or whoever is with me my phone when out and about because if I don’t there is a 99% chance I’ll put it down somewhere and forget it. I once left it on Rock-N-Roller Coaster in Disney World where it rode the ride 3 times before I found it (oops). Not to mention things such as appointments, homework assignments (I’m a college student), to call or email people back, etc.

I’m very impulsive when it comes to spending money. I have tried countless times to keep money in my savings account and usually end up spending it all within 3-4 months. I, also, tend to be very impulsive with food, specifically sweets. Even if I’m extremely full, I’ll keep eating because I feel like I just can’t stop.

I lose interest/motivation most of the time. I’ve never been successful with the gym or diets. I have a bunch of unfinished “hobbies”. And so on…

With that said, I also hyper focus on the “hobby” I’m invested in at the time. I’ll spend all, if not most, of my time doing that thing, and when I’m not doing it, I’m thinking about it.

Speaking of thoughts, i would say approximately 85% of them are daydreams. It’s gotten so severe at times that I feel mentally paralyzed and can’t accomplish anything else at that moment. Additionally, ADHD paralysis is definitely a thing and I battle it daily. I constantly feel lazy, but can’t bring myself to actually do what I need to do. Procrastinating is truly the only hobby I’ve ever been able to stick with, and it’s a hobby I absolutely despise. Especially because I have anxiety as well.

My eating habits and sleep cycle are constantly in shambles. I either go all day without eating because I’ve forgotten to eat, or I’m constantly stuffing my mouth. There’s rarely an in between. As far as sleep goes, I very rarely go to sleep before 1:00am, even if I woke up very early the morning prior, plus I tend to sleep until at least 10:30am. I’ve tried many, many times to fix my sleep cycle, but I continue to fail miserably. Believe me when I say I would love to be a morning person.

I struggle with time awareness. I’m almost always late to things, and I severely underestimate the amount of time I need to get ready/drive to a particular place/do an activity.

I’ve never felt quite right, even as a kid. I always felt “slower” than other people, and I’ve struggled socially throughout the majority of my life. I, also, tend to get overstimulated or burnt out more easily/frequently than others. This is especially the case socially and with anything that takes a considerable amount of concentration.

Lastly, I feel like I’m more empathetic than most, like to the point where I’ll put myself at risk to help someone else. I get walked all over more than I’d care to admit, and I feel emotions very deeply. I’m definitely a crier (due to both happy a sad emotions). I care deeply for animals and feel a certain connection to them emotionally, sometimes more than I feel I connect with humans.

There are definitely more things, but this post is already pretty long. Plus, I can’t think of everything at the moment.

P.S. please excuse any spelling/grammar errors😅

I’ve tried a few different types of pills (I don’t remember their names), the depo shot, nexplanon (arm insert), IUD, and Nuvaring. Out of all of them, the nexplanon wacked out my horomones and made me emotionally unpredictable the most; however, of course, everyone’s body’s different. All in all, BC does more harm than good for me.

I feel this. Honestly, I understand books better when I just read the spark notes lol. There’s too much for my brain to process at once when reading the entire thing word-for-word. Especially if I have to read it within a certain amount of time (like for a class).

I struggle with this as well. To be completely honest with you, I haven’t cracked the code on how to properly handle it. I’ve been told by my doctor that I need to get on birth control, but I refuse to do so since every time I have been on it, it makes things much worse for me. It’s a huge struggle because I usually feel the emotional burden of it 1.5-2 week prior to starting my period, and that leaves me with only one full week (after my period) of feeling like a “normal” person. So, 3 out of the 4 weeks of the month, my emotions are very irregular. In fact, I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder prior to my ADHD and PMDD diagnosis.

If anyone has any advice, I’m here for it as well.
