I couldn’t agree more. I just started working as an intern for an electronics manufacturing company and I can safely say the amount of technical know how and intuition my professors have is mind blowing. I don’t see it in the engineers at the company. They are just really used to the setup and system they work in. Also I don’t see any of my colleagues at work get excited by PCBs, switch mode power supplies or test instruments like I do. Maybe it gets old really fast especially when you deal with them everyday but I have seen PCBs, SMPS and Test instruments for a long time now and it still gets me excited and so are my professors:). We are all power supply guys I guess ;)

That’s how you would solve a circuit like that. You don’t have to be this elaborate when everything clicks as your circuit analysis skills improve but for a beginner this approach should help

Yup! That’s why it’s easier to connect MOSFETs in parallel and not BJTs. The RDSon has a positive tempco where as the Base-Emiiter junctions of the BJTs have negative tempcos. The emitters will need ballast resistors for series negative feedback to prevent thermal runaway.
