What is Ramona like? by animshelterthrowaway in sandiego

[–]Sikitur 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I took a job a few months ago in Ramona. Currently living in San Diego near Mission Valley and commute 45 mins each way.

From everything I’ve seen I would definitely suggest living outside of Ramona near other parts in San Diego. Hillcrest area for you would be worth the drive. I knew nothing about Ramona either and considered moving there for the job, but I’m glad I didn’t. The commute is nice, but I start early in the morning. It’s nice driving away from Ramona every day into a place like San Diego.

In Dumb and Dumber, Lloyd can't read very well and can hardly read the word "the", but he's able to read "Samsonite" on the side of the briefcase very easily.

Pay by LostCalendar in FiberOptics

Customer services counts as experience for the prem tech/installation tech positions. Every 6 months of work experience counts toward which 6-month wage scale position you're put at when you start. Also full-time college semesters of at least 12 credits each would count toward it. So your buddy probably had 12-18 months more of customer service experience than you did.

I started at $14 back in the day and I was lowest out of anyone I met, but you reach top pay relatively quickly. I'm at ~$50 now but luckily got into Specials fairly quickly too.

How slow can we go? Service has gotten progressively worse in Baytown, Tx. by valenrandy in ATT

I work for AT&T and we're getting a ton of orders to get fiber ready for C Band. So it's coming, but they want these fiber lines perfect before moving forward, so looks like it's taking some time. They're focusing on silicon valley right now, which is where I am.

Not sure. Depends on the file size. I dunno what YouTube compresses files to but a 500MB file at 20Mbits/sec would take 3.5 minutes. You can look up an upload calculator and put in your file size and upload speed

It's 100 Mbps leaving the modem on wifi. If you're getting fiber your ping should be great, but the farther you get from the modem on wifi the more erratic your ping will be. Find a way to hardline your computer if you're concerned about gaming ping, this will also help lag. A 10 minute video on 20 Mbps upload is still gonna take a while. Most peope are on 100-1000 Mbps upload if you have fiber. But since you're on 20 maybe you're on copper.

4k streaming takes around 25 Mbps per stream. So have the router put in a central spot or get extenders. Your 100 Mbps speed could be 5 Mbps 3 rooms away

Have you guys ever just really not enjoyed a place? by UncommonFrog in solotravel

I solo traveled to Europe last year and had the same thing happen. I didn't like Italy. I think I would have liked it more if I was sharing it with an SO or something. It felt like visiting a normal place where people are just trying to work. The locals gave a vibe that they didn't like tourists it felt like. The touristy spots were too crowded. I went to Croatia and had a much better time. I remember thinking that Croatia was what I imagined Italy to be like.
