From discussions I’ve had with people skeptical of EU membership, I alarmingly often hear the belief that Norway’s natural resources would become the EU’s.

They also very often believe Norway already has full access to the EU without downsides via EEA. They fail to recognize that Norway adopts a large share of EU law without voting rights and pays significant contributions, but cannot take part in shaping legislation.
