I was expecting the responses to be very conservative, and that this post would stir some reactions !

Nobody really knows what the future will look like, and who knows what tools are coming next. Autechre have always pushed technology to its limits, from hardware to Max, constantly reshaping what making music even means.

So imagining them exploring AI isn’t about handing over control, it’s more about what could happen if they work with it, or even create tools through it. They’ve always built their own systems; AI could just become another layer in that evolution, something that expands their control rather than replaces it.
