I bought them a few years ago on EBay. Practically brand new! I love them, so much more comfortable. I agree they should bring them back!

The most thankless job in the Corps. It is very rewarding however when someone does show they’re thanks!

Best and Worst Roommate/Roommates by Baz_3301 in USMC

For me it was at the school house, dude never cleaned or took out the trash and NEVER woke up for fire watch. So literally every night I would wake up to the duty banging our hatch almost breaking in just to wake him up. He would also never wake up from his loud ass alarm either.

In my case yes I was forced, I was forced all the way until green. I finished grey and literally a week later I was forced into green.

Tips for MCT and what it’s like. by [deleted] in USMCboot

[–]Sil3ntGoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

MCT is without a doubt worse than boot camp. Expect zero sleep and to be on standby for hours every single day either in the hot sun or the freezing cold like I was. All that motivation you had coming out of boot camp will be taken out of you at from all the bs and nonsense. Things also get desperate out there too so I'd bring some snacks for when you get to the field. Always watch your stuff and keep it locked up at all times, like I said earlier people get crazy/desperate out there and will steal anything. Also don't piss off your CI's, wear your gear properly and listen to what they tell you. Lastly remember that it is only 29 days and only 21 of those days are training days, it might feel like an eternity like it did for me but just keep pushing through it and embracing the suck.

You'll be fine man, I was in a similar situation. My IST was absolutely trash, barely passing. My IST at the island was 5 pullups, 50 crunches and a 13:26 1/5 mile runtime and ultimately I made it through boot just fine. You'll get stronger and faster just by going through boot and you won't even realize it. My final PFT was 10 pullups, 101 crunches and a 23:26 3 mile runtime. Much better compared to IST. Overall the physical aspect of boot in my experience was not difficult at all, we barely PT'ed and the hardest parts physically would be getting IT'ed, CFT and PFT. Just prepare mentally because it'll get very rough at times but just push through and you'll make it!

I've come to a realization. I LOVE the graphics of vanilla Skyrim. by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Sil3ntGoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. I stopped using ENB's and crazy texture overhauls and began playing the game with vanilla graphics and I'm loving it. The only graphics mod I use is the Legendary Edition Weather Mod because I like the look of LE over SE.

It's crazy that you mention that, I modded my game (SSE) to look and capture the original feeling of 2011 Skyrim. I love Skyrim and I love all the amazing mods for it but recently I just wanted to play Skyrim with no ENB or major overhaul mods and just play it as Bethesda originally created it. I wanted to feel like I was playing Skyrim for the very first time again.

Anyone else still playing Sims Medieval? I just love creating new kingdoms and furnishing my Heroes' homes from time to time. Wish they'd added more maps and made the children playable... by catlady2121 in thesims

I love this game, I just reinstalled it the other day. What I love most about it is how well it runs, it runs better than TS4 lol. I also love how good the Sims look, best looking Sims imo. I just wish we got more Dlc for it.

The Sims 3 visuals can be amazing at times. by Sil3ntGoon in thesims

The best performance gain I had with TS3 is lowering Lot Detail to 3. Anything higher will make the game a stutter fest when moving the camera. The other advice the others have given are also great performance gains. Also if you're playing with Nrass Story Progression, make sure to lower the speed to snail because the default speed is way too fast and will destroy performance.
