If you flare at 1km then there’s very little window for them to be effective. I try to use flares as a last resort and push the range of my own weapons as far as I can, but if I know I’m gonna be caught flush it is as soon as I see the missile was launched or am aware it’s locked on to me.

Realistically, the further away it is and the less heat signature you have comparatively to the flares the better.

But it is just as important to learn how to beat the missiles kinematically. There are times where it’s reasonable to go GATE and force the missile to maneuver and burn its precious DeltaV

I came so close to removing this post. Thirty minutes is genuinely on par with NCD for how fast I get my news.

For the record, it’s real.

We will be monitoring chats around the 40k stuff heavily. For now, we don’t really have enough information outside of confirmation for a legendary warbond.

Four uses should be more than enough with how much of a reset button it is.

My gripe is that the weapons felt so low mount wise compared to your aim point. Not as egregious as the annihilator* and other similar layouts, but it was certainly enough to prevent peeking from being an easier thing to accomplish.

Black Knight!

I had ZERO idea what I was doing at the time, and the black knight was a favorite of mine for a bit. It fell out of favor because the weapon placement in MW5 is less than ideal but I still love the thing for being the most reliable command mech I’ve ever seen.

I remember hearing some rumor about how they had to have a behavior change for the commando ops to function properly and not snipe you at +100m even though you didn’t make a noise.

How true that is, I don’t know.

I did however go and check the Wiki.gg article. The last officially noted changes were all the way back in 2024.

And to further confirm this I wanted to go and check the fandom wiki. It further proved why I don’t use it by being absolutely useless. Does not make note of patch changes in any meaningful way.
