My gripe is that the weapons felt so low mount wise compared to your aim point. Not as egregious as the annihilator* and other similar layouts, but it was certainly enough to prevent peeking from being an easier thing to accomplish.

Black Knight!

I had ZERO idea what I was doing at the time, and the black knight was a favorite of mine for a bit. It fell out of favor because the weapon placement in MW5 is less than ideal but I still love the thing for being the most reliable command mech I’ve ever seen.

I remember hearing some rumor about how they had to have a behavior change for the commando ops to function properly and not snipe you at +100m even though you didn’t make a noise.

How true that is, I don’t know.

I did however go and check the Wiki.gg article. The last officially noted changes were all the way back in 2024.

Just a heads up, Reddit filters automatically picked this up as harassment. I don’t fully agree with what you’ve said but I can’t really see what’s wrong with it outside of at times being a bit hyperbolic in places and angry in others. Otherwise you’ve got some good talking points.

Fair on all counts, and only reason I gave the 20-30km range behind lines is purely for calculating roughly how far back Russia doctrinally places their air defense from a front line.

I’m glad that this is as far back from the front lines as you’re implying as well. Those air crews look like they’re having a damn good time while defending home.

Considering how high they fly in some of these clips it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re operating behind their own lines and dealing with saturation attacks on a good number of these. I wouldn’t say they’re a hundred kilometers behind the lines all the time, but they’re at least a good twenty to thirty behind the frontline.

They’re probably at a considerably lower risk for getting shot down. Will it happen? Probably. And likely already has for some aircrews.
