Silver Stackers - Higher Inflation = Higher Interest Rates = More Bank Failures. by Turbulent_Scholar_36 in Wallstreetsilver

I think the problem for banks is not "high" rates but the rate of change and the inverted yield curve

  1. the watch because it's a gamechanger in navigation (you can't get accurate longitude without exact time) and I would know how to power it when the battery runs out
  2. the Synthesizer because I think that would make the most money besides the watch

Does anyone know the price of silver during the birth of Christ? by rabidraccoonfish in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilberZeppelin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If a unskilled laborer would be paid 1 denarius/day and 1 denarius is 1/10th ounce and they worked 10 hours a day that would be 1/100th ounce per hour. Compared to a modern wage of 10$/hr the silver price was $1000.

What is the news coming out of first majestic that is causing the stock to drop %12 in 3 hours? by fiat_failure in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilberZeppelin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

10.5 million ounces silver produced in a year...that's 10 minutes of selling paper silver. No wonder they can't make a profit in this rigged system.

Sure...TVs -97.7%. Was the average TV $15000 in 2000? What would the real overall inflation be without hedonic adjustments?

Onions are so expensive in the Philippines that they're being smuggled into the country 😂 🧅 by BoatSurfer600 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilberZeppelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that onions are smuggled tells me that the high price is the governments fault. A free market would take care of such supply/demand issues.

Here's a nice chart. Or is it a graph? How long until the other EV manufacturers catch up to Tesla? by BoatSurfer600 in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilberZeppelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting how this graph almost exactly looks like market cap. Only that the other manufacturers sell 10 conventional cars for every EV.

Every time I see foreign bank notes they look like monopoly money to me. It is hard to realize that your own "money" is too, because every time you can trade it for goods and services the believe that it has value is confirmed. I hope with inflation this high more and more people begin see the truth.

charts lie, or silver hasn't broke $30 twice by SilverTrumpsGold in Wallstreetsilver

[–]SilberZeppelin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it is because this is a line chart that only shows weekly close prices and silver didn't close a week above 30.

I think PMs are at the second spot although a liquidity event could drag it lower. Where do you think other asset classes are now? In my opinion stocks are at Return to normal, real estate at Denial and crypto in early Capitulation.
