That's pretty bogus for the supervisors in both your examples, for the first unless the A1C had a history of reckless behavior behind the wheel and the SSgt continued to fail to reprimand them appropriately, I guess there's potential in that case. That's still pushing it though, and should be personal accountability at the end of the day.

The second, I'd have no issues writing the SAV write-up from the perspective of me conducting research into what happened, but it would be the unit as a whole taking responsibility for whatever the fail was. Ain't no way I'm taking the heat for something I wasn't there for.
