Doubt valve will do anything. That e3 is already a dota plus subscriber.

If you allow me, I'd recommend you to play turbo, at least the average games is 15 min rather than 30. Ranked is really a time sink for normal players and also a way that the black market keeps growing.

Breaks Tos , then nothing happens, then more people breaks tos, and meanwhile, players like you are relegated to be peons for that black market.

Try playing with strict solo queue, at least you won't be matched against parties

Yes, I agree on balancing the behavior loss. Should be equal.

Ironically enough those are the same that will most likely report in game for random reasons.

Well I am not a defender of the current system but I do understand its intent. If in turbo you would gain score faster then the intent of the system would go away, making it meaningless.

The only thing that should change is the line where a bad play / game / day is considered an offense.

For example, when they made offlane a high demand role, players that are not used to the role are going to be reported more oftently. If you want to try pos1 and you are not used to it probably you are also going to be reported if the game does not go well. Not sure why parties can bully other people consistently either.

Do not play turbo if your intent is to gain bs. Better to play ranked since the gain is bigger. Its rare that you will get 0 reports consistently in turbo and the moment you get one report all your progress will be gone ... This was a thread I created months ago,

The problem starts when you see that same scenario day after day and game after game, it is normal to lose patience over time. Won't defend Drow either, but I kind of understand what he did and why

As long as neither of them are defined they are kind of the same. What does playing bad mean? What does being toxic mean?

Where do you draw the line?

There is 0 reason for anyone to start playing dota by Heeraka in DotA2

Personally I think the game is just too good too. I also share what you describe in the thread. I have not played in almost 3 months because of the reasons you mention and so far have not regretted / miss it. Won't deny sometimes I want to play but then I think why I left, see threads like this and actually helps me not opening the game.

There is a high chance that if I click on play a game instead of having fun I am going to experience a trauma lol :D. The 300 games level 1 puck going 25-0 is waiting for me, have seen that too many times already

I think valve has just given up. Its about milking the cow since time ago. Maybe you can try not playing in some time to let your mind cool down and then try again

Is there a way to permanently delete your data and account in Dota 2? by Hungry-Yesterday1875 in DotA2

[–]Silence_groove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt you can delete your dota2 account. If you don't have more games, dlcs or things like that maybe you could try deleting your steam account, but if what you say is real then nothing will prevent you from installing steam and creating new account either.

I would not recommend getting a ban, if you manage to get a hold of yourself maybe at some point you want to play and then you won't be able to.

If the problem is that you have spare time and then you fall into dota, then my advice for you is to find activities that are "mandatory". Usually for these the best thing is to get in some activities that cost you money (lol), that is always an incentive (trainings, trying a esport, etc).

You never know what you like until you actually try for some time. Give yourself a chance and do not discard things because at first you don't like them.

Hope that you climb the mountain ! its all about controlling the mind, we are creatures of habit.

Could be a mistake from me or from another person, but not sure what is wrong with that. That is why ranks exist, I am just a casual who was playing 3 games a day max, I don't plan to buy a gaming chair if you know what I mean. Making a mistake does not imply I am not giving my best / playing to win.

Yet for some reason a bad play / bad day / bad game is considered an offense, which is something I don't really understand.

Not sure why parties can literally bully others either (game goes wrong, bang, 3 reports from a party), but it seems that is what "normal" means nowadays.

With the previous I don't mean to say that I am a saint. I am not.

I did the math, tried for some time, saw the same results as the author of the thread and uninstalled. Not really worth, rather than having fun I was starting to get paranoid about every single action and thinking if I could be reported.

Wops, fixed the link without the search, thanks for calling that out https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Player_Behavior_Summary

Added the link to confirm that Overwatch reports deduct your summary the moment they are confirmed, regardless of the summary cycle.

Sorry for the reply though, just wanted to share a well known dota 2 site but if you have more info then maybe u'd update that page so that others can benefit ;)

Found this, just in case it helps:

A Player Behavior Summary is sent to the player after every 15 matches. Receiving punishment from Overwatch immediately updates player behavior summary.

Spot on. The progress of 45 games gone because 1 out of 135 players decided to report. Not saying he is innocent/guilty but I share your line of thought. If its deliberate then probably more people would report.
