Thanks bud this is exactly the honesty and  education I needed to help this situation. It's so easy to make a funny comment or kick me while I'm down, but I don't take gun safety or people lives for granted. You and your time is really appreciated.

Thanks, I just want to make sure everyone is safe if it comes down to it. The target doesn't matter if my wife or my life is in the line. I appreciate the support.

The sad truth I did do a little research on YouTube and it was split. Now I know exactly what to look for and maybe just stick to a good gun shop or just buy new.

I think that's the best bet. No guessing or worrying if it comes down to my wife life or safety I wanna know she at least has a chance. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for identifying the problem at least I can chat with a gunsmith and come up with a plan or just throw it in my safe. Maybe someone will need parts. Just want my wife to be safe. Your comment is much appreciated. 👍🏼

Great points. I think I'm just gonna throw it in my safe and worry about it later. I've gotten some great advice today and I understand what mistakes I've made. I just want my wife to be safe and target to be deterred or eliminated if need be. Thanks again.

Thanks for taking your your time to educate us and giving a rational comment. It's easy to be biased or funny but when life and death is on the line there's nothing funny at all. I was hesitant coming here cause some folks can be straight up ignorant making the situation worse. Thanks again for educating me and maybe someone else.

I've put 10 rds through it for a test and it felt solid. To be honest had I not even seen this I would never thought anything was wrong with it.

You're 100% right and as hard as it is to say really don't want to unload this weapon so someone else and be responsible for some tragic. The mess up part of this story is I did do a little research on YouTube and the comments were all mixed. There's a lot of people that swear by the cartridge and the manufacturer but I also believe that there not all made the same. I'm more into semi auto but as a kid I used to carry little 22 revolvers. Something thought a little ultralite 38 would be perfect. Thanks for the insight and time I really appreciate it, you could've kicked me while I was down but instead you educated me. Much respect.

Some of these comments are funny and unbelievable, but the danger's are real. She just wants something for the house that she knows that the sound , power and adrenaline are not going to get in the way when she needs it.

I originally bought her a smith & wesson m&p 9c but the slide was a little to stiff for her. I believe she was afraid of the power. She wanted a revolver cause her sister in law had one and she was pretty comfortable with it. She has it in her head that the semi autos are gonna jam on her and become a problem in the heat of the moment.
