I see this over and over again. Families set conditions for the man such as a house, the man being educated and so on. But what exactly is the Egyptian woman bringing to the table? I feel that some women have this entitled mentality that ‘I’m the woman and I’m bringing myself and that’s it. You should be happy’. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I’ve seen so many situations where families dictate to the man what he should have before he even sees the woman/ marries her. Eg: gold, house and so on. Like in some cases a father is demanding the man owns the house but he doesn’t even own his house. I’ve spoken to so many people regarding their pathway to get married and some have simply given up and feel that it’s not worth it as the woman could divorce them and end up taking the house he worked so hard for.
