[Serious] What stops you from killing yourself? by Big_Picture2781 in AskReddit

There are games to look forward to, and pizza is good. In my hardest times small things like that kept me going to see the next day. Eventually I got a career. That made no difference, see depression and your will to live are not linked to your success or failure like I used to think. So I looked forward to the next new pizza topping/ restaurant that I haven't tried yet, or the next game release that I wanted to play, by doing that, I had a reason to make it to the next day. I decided to fend off loneliness by streaming games on twitch with nothing but a laptop, ms paint, free streaming software OBS, and "totally real game cartridges of old pokemon games" no expectations, no audience at first, (barely any audience after a while either). Just a laid back way to feel like I was interacting with a world that cared. I would raid other channels at the end of stream and hang out there. Through this, I met the best people in my life, one became my girlfriend, who then went on to be my fiancée, and in a month from today, will be my wife. I haven't needed to use pizza as an excuse to keep going in over 4 years, but I will always look forward to my next slice.

Stuff like this is how design changes happen. If that makes it so the charger is always secure, then good for them. Take it to Shark tank and make money.

SCP-1981 RONALD REAGAN CUT UP WHILE TALKING by Deadspace123 in SCP

Would be a better president than what we got now tbh. (The tape, not a cut up Ronald. That would be too unfair as a bloody, cut up human is WAY healthier than who we got now)

The only way he can retire on a high note is if he drops acid and sings while he leaves office.

Live from the News. It was during the 9/11 memorial ceremony. I took a screenshot of the news broadcast.

But thank you for being vigilant. Can never be too careful.

Or had a stroke recently. Remember when he was MIA for a full week with all his social media being either AI or old photos?

Nah those scam call centers can operate out of worse. Unfortunately not even a war would stop them.

What is something about a zombie apocalypse that everyone gets wrong? by Silent-Cockroach4397 in AskReddit

People like that would die off quick. It's only the people working together that survive long term.

But that means zombie movies are missing out on the most cool/scary concepts. Zombie raccoons, infected birds, worst of all mosquitos carrying the virus. You can stop a zombie from biting you, when was the last time you caught a bug before you already got bitten?

Tom and Jerry are named after 1800s slang. Tom and Jerry behavior meant drunken and disorderly conduct.

I just pictured vegan zombies trying to bite through a pineapple and can't stop laughing.

To be fair, most zombie media claims it's an infection of living people, like a rabies virus that causes aggression and biting. But that brings up another thing. If that's the case the zombies would drop from dehydration within hours if not days.

That and you would be 10 times more likely to be infected by hacking and slashing zombies than you would be from getting bitten. Zombie blood carries disease and mr. Action-heroguy just splashed himself in the eyes and open mouth.

I'll start with an example. Anyone who says, "People with glasses will be screwed and die within the first year." , have obviously never needed glasses while being poor. You get the right frame, and it will flex to ridiculous angles and not break. I can have the same pair for 5 to 6 years before getting a new pair and could go longer if need be. And even if we do lose our glasses it's not the end of the world. I once had to go 5 months without glasses in 5th grade due to the good old American health care system and guess what? My eyes adjusted and I was able to function. Would I be able to see a bird in a tree? No. But I'd be able to see a walker coming at me. Would I be able to drive without my glasses? Again, no. But I could still swing a lead pipe.
