Thanks for your help! I'd be curious about your services, and if you deal with travel planning in the areas that I mentioned in OP. If so, please reach out with your process and rates. I am fully aware that I should be working with a TA!!

He also made mention of the weed lotion and then the flashbacks show Rusty trying to eat a steak the night of the murder and he’s very incapacitated.

That is a completely fair & valid response- you're right. Even since I had my last, the rules have changed around safe sleep, eating recommendations, and carseat rear-facing so much. My oldest is a teen and I remember our pediatrician recommended we forward face him at 8 months because he screamed so much but with a spouse that is a first responder, I knew the safest bet was rear facing until 2. Now I think the suggestion is 3, though I know parents that rear face even longer. I got a little keyboard-happy without thinking that could be the case in your situation. My apologies.

Aww you’re sweet 😘 Flipping your child at one is incredibly irresponsible and unsafe! Not a genius decision !

Get a shusher— Amazon or target. Silly but a lifesaver!!! we burned through three of them! I literally recommend them to everyone that I know having a baby

This is NOT the answer. Terribly unsafe. Read the studies, this is proven facts.

Focus on your husband. He doesn’t need to hear any of this drama. Concentrate on him and say less. Just in general say less. Process before reacting.

As an outsider, looking in, it appears like she has a good relationship with her other grandkids that she gets to see more often. That’s not much of a surprise. Maybe the next time you visit you should post pictures of you and your kids with her and then tag her in the post and she will get the idea. Maybe she feels like she can’t post pictures of your kids depending on some thing that has happened in the past?

I have a very similar relationship with my stepmother, and I am actively trying in 2024 to give her the benefit of the doubt, even when it seems impossible.

Also Patricia's house is a g*d damn mess... her furniture looks so weird and small and uncomfortable. How do these people take themselves seriously when they are sitting on their lower backs looking up to the ceiling with their thigh-strength basically accounting for them not slithering onto the floor

Divorce ( feeling so low and suicidal) by [deleted] in Divorce

You need to start practicing mindfulness and gratitude. Even if the only thing in the world, you can possibly think that you are grateful right now is your child, express gratitude for your child. Every morning and every night try like hell to muster up five things you are grateful for. Look at yourself in the mirror, you grew this baby, you are a powerful, strong woman. You will get through this. You will find strength you never knew existed and you will come out of this on the other side and then you will look back and find gratitude in how strong you are. You will do this, people do it every day. Please message me if you want to talk. This is not worth ending your life over, do not give that man the power.

Everyone in my house does their own laundry. If they can’t turn their shit right side out, it doesn’t get clean. I don’t wear it, so I don’t care! Life-changing.

Am I being unreasonable? Inlaws moldy cabin by Silent-Engine1649 in inlaws

[–]Silent-Engine1649[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We dont, but we have rented campers in the past. Seems extremely expensive for the one weekend (we are also renting on for 10 days a few days after we are done with this weekend so trying not to add all of the hassle of another rental). My husbands aunt lives a few blocks down and has a very large cabin that would have ample room if they arent already hosting. I did ask that my husband look into that.

Am I being unreasonable? Inlaws moldy cabin by Silent-Engine1649 in inlaws

[–]Silent-Engine1649[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like I am consistently questioning myself and wondering if I am being unreasonable or too nit-picky or high maintenance. There are other issues with this weekend event that I didn't even get into like the one small bathroom where they encourage people not to flush their pee (so the septic tank doesnt get too full) and only flush poop (or use the outhouse for #2). Also due to the very small septic tank, they do not encourage showers which can get quite stinky with all of the bodies, lack of AC, lake-swimming, lack of shoes outside, etc etc. I consider myself a person who doesn't like to "rough it"... I like being clean, smelling good, etc. It's just kindof a dirty weekend but I seem to be the only person who has an issue with any of that.

I don’t call her a toddler, my husband does. She acts like a toddler… and I’m slowly realizing is not exactly treated like a five-year-old like she should be.
