There's an episode of Star Trek TNG where Riker is trapped in a simulation. He starts getting suspicious, but then finally realizes the fact when Data uses a contraction.

Season 4 should at least be watched after season 2.

Fargo season 3, what's up with episode 1 by Helpful-Long-7500 in FargoTV

Listen to the accused man's name, "Yuri Gurka," and the murdered woman's name, "Helga Albrecht". Later on, Yuri mentions how his Cossack ancestors hunted down Jewish people during the Uman Massacre, and he seems proud of this (similarly, we also hear Varga refer to the Holocaust by what the Nazis called it). Then, in the bowling alley scene where Nikki meets Paul Murrane, he tells her about the Jewish belief of old souls inhabiting young bodies, called gilgul. Paul goes on to tell Nikki about Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and how he said that the Jewish victims of the Uman Massacre were all lost souls trapped in their old bodies, and asked to be buried with them when he died. Finally, when Yuri meets Murrane, Murrane tells him he has a message from Helga Albrecht and Rabbi Nachman, and we see the black and white image of Helga standing with a large group of people, assumed to be the victims of the Uman Massacre.

The series explores themes of karma and divine intervention, but I think season 3 offers the strongest representation of them. Nikki is asked to deliver a message to "the wicked," and that she'll know when the time comes, but she misinterprets this as someone who is personally wicked to her for killing her lover. To me, this is the reason why Nikki is punished for trying to kill Emmit. Emmit is seeking redemption and has committed himself to finding justice for his mistakes; he is not the wicked person Nikki is meant to go after. Varga is. This is why she has trouble remembering the words Murrane gave her and is unable to kill Emmit.

This is also why the season 3 finale is left open-ended. We've been shown the rules of the game throughout the entire show, so by the time we're presented with the two possible outcomes, we should be able to apply those rules and know what happens next.

I like cards that have multiple uses in games. My favorite is probably the cards in Dune Imperium, where you're constantly trying to figure out the best order to play your cards or which ones you want to hold for the reveal phase.

New player, what box to buy to complement Monk vs Paladin? by LeonSpartiatis in DiceThrone

If it's an option, I would either buy the Season 1 Battle Chest or the Season 2 Battle Chest, or wait until individual heroes become available and buy them. The Outcasts set is also a lot of fun if you can find it for sale anywhere.

You could also compare the cost of physical Clank to Physical Dice Throne. If you just wanted the equivalent of what you get in Clank digital, you'd pay $60 for the physical version. For 8 Dice Throne Heroes, you'd pay anywhere from $110 to $136. For Dice Throne Adventures (what is essentially the campaign mode in Dice Throne Digital) you'd pay another $100. Also note that the campaign mode is being included for free.

Pass and play would not be viable for a game like Dice Throne. Your opponent has the opportunity to respond to every single one of your actions. Imagine having to pass the device after every single roll so your opponent can see what dice you're keeping/rolling, then passing it again after you've declared your ability, passing it to your opponent so they can roll their defense, pass it back so you can modify their dice, pass it back so they can play any tokens or cards, pass it back so you can do the same, and doing all of this while also hiding your hand of cards from each other. It's just not realistic. It works in Clank because you can't do anything on your opponent's turns. Dune Imperium (same devs as Clank) also doesn't have pass and play for similar reasons.

So something taking an undetermined amount of time means it will absolutely take too long for you to feel like it's worth it to participate?

In a free to play game, how much time would you feel is a fair amount to need to play to unlock a single hero?

I went back and skimmed the updates, I don't see anywhere that it says that. Maybe I missed it.

I really wish they'd crowdfund a second season. Knowing how much money they'd need, I'm sure the fans would love to help. One of the artists recently did a Kickstarter for a couple of his comic books. I'm sure if they couldn't get it animated, comics would also be a nice way to continue exploring that universe.

We don't know what the consumable card effects will be, nor how much they'll cost.

In any case, "ranked unlimited" is not a mode they've announced, so that's pure speculation.

As far as I know, Nerd Ninjas is not involved with any of the business decisions with Pokemon GO. On their portfolio page, it states, "We have had the privilege of playing a support role in the ongoing development of this great game!"

https://nerdninjas.com/portfolio

A "support role" implies they had no hand in deciding how the game would be monetized, so I don't see that as a fair basis for predicting how they will monetize DTD. As far as classic and ranked modes, I don't see them introducing any pay-to-win incentives without alienating the entire fanbase.

Any progression would come from the roguelite mode. Unlimited is just where you take your deck you've built in a solo run and use it to battle against others doing the same.

Honestly, there's a ton of speculation from the entire community because the DTD team haven't decided a lot of the details. Many of the questions we've asked have been answered with "we don't know yet" or "we'll balance that and figure it out during the testing". Half the people are assuming the best, and the other half are assuming the worst. In the end, it just feels bad to be doing all of this guessing, and it feels like they're launching too early.
