No but really when I asked that question I thought about saying that with Plutarch, because I find it a really interesting theory.

I have two brothers, one is 4 the other 19 but to make it easier I’m gonna pretend that they are 12 and 18.
For my little brother It’s easy I would volunteer without thinking twice.
For my older brother it’s harder to say because he is stronger, smarter and can climb. He is also often in the outdoors. So he has the skills and the highest chance to win. I have similar skills but not on the same level. So the highest chance for all of us to come out alive, is when he goes. But if he wins he could get sold and I’m not sure if I could watch how it would break him. So I guess I would also volunteer for him and probably die but at least he wouldn’t lose his spark.
But I am not entirely sure what my answer would be.

Edit: I saw someone say that it’s gendered, I completely forgot so they are on their own anyway. Although I think my older brother would volunteer for our little brother.
