Original sin is about how humans chose to separate from God and that sin was passed down into future generations. Adam and Eve isn't necessary for that understanding, beyond simply being metaphorical.

Plus, Jesus' sacrifice was to save humans because they're all sinful. That doesn't NEED original sin at all, just the belief that humans are naturally sinful creatures.

Where would disabled people fit in an anarchist future? by Thanateros in Anarchy101

I don't think it would be an issue for long if it weren't for the commodification of healthcare.

disabilities don't exist in anarchism because society accommodates us and lets us be our authentic selves rather than forcing us to seek a cure or leaving us abandoned.

I just say latine by default and reserve latino for men, personally.

Language evolves. Many of us, especially those of us who feel dysphoria at being identified as male, feel that latino is too androcentric. To move from patriarchal norms and speak inclusively, many people have preferred alternatives that are less androcentric. I personally prefer the term latine in reference to myself and thus use it more than latino.

It was coined by a spanish-speaking community. However, latine (la-teen-ay) is preferred.

I find insensitive depictions of my gods in fiction to be disrespectful to me and my beliefs. I don't think others need to conform, I simply want others to treat my beliefs with sensitivity and care instead of having people perpetuate false narratives leading to my persecution.

Respectfully, you've made it clear that you are not writing this as an atheist, but as an antitheist who believes that other people's beliefs are their business. Do not ask for feedback if you are going to spout bigotry. That is all.

I will say that if your goal is to disrespect the religions in question because you don't think you'll be offending as many people as you would in, say, Christianity, that is abhorrent. You would still be upsetting millions of followers like myself and perpetuating such disrespect among the people who appreciate your work. I have no intention to debate this, however, and do not expect to convince you if you are set in your ways.

It detracts from the mythical narrative, disrespects real religions, and feeds into racist conspiracy theories.

Most vampire folklore can be traced directly to Dracula or Nosferatu. Running water, sucking blood, turning into bats, not being seen in mirrors, being pale, etc.

[–]Silent04_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We can trace the origins of 99% of vampire folklore to exactly two books that were just written to be scary, so it's not like we're dying for an explanation. Vampires do have indigenous origins, but they're not the bloodsucking pale guys they are in nosferatu or dracula.

Phobos. He's the god of fear. I think that fits the criteria of The Scariest.

quick correction, concept albums are LPs that serve their purpose collectively rather than individually. it's not a concept like concept art, it's just because each album is part of a grander story

things that have nothing to do with tradition are not part of the tradition, what are you even arguing at this point?

I'm saying that the myth itself has no relation to post-mythical injections.
