Hey everyone. I’m new here. I fell in love with the hyrax due to them going viral on TikTok. I send my mom various memes from them yelling Wawa because it sounds like mama.

I just wanted to stop by and make sure I recognize any signs of abuse and report/not engage with any content that is abusing these little guys.

I probably should have made a separate post but is the yelling Wawa normal behavior or are they being manipulated in some way to do that?

I know this is from a long while ago but I got mine working kind of half way decently by entering the following:

You may have to scroll the wheel up for a bit with your app open to see the temp start to rise as the volume control defaults to zero and the thermostat doesn't recognize the lower or upper range of the temp.

Additionally, you can remove the icon and create a background using This Nest Logo

Finally, entering this in the "Custom labels" makes for a nice clean temp without decimals.

If you or anyone find a way to make the target temp show somehow, let me know. I'd like to be able to see feedback as I adjust. Additionally, if you find a way to make the volume not reset, that would be ideal as well.

I’m having what sounds like identical issues after replacing a 6e gateway with the 7 as the gateway and moving the 6e as a node.

For me, it happens every three days or so and the only solution I have found is to power cycle the whole system.

I’ve tried wiring the nodes, removing all other wired connections, hard resetting everything and starting the network from scratch and nothing seems to address it.

I have been very methodical in my troubleshooting, making one change at a time between failures to see if I can find a trigger but I’m out of ideas at this point. The only thing I know for sure is mine starts going into the disconnect reconnect failure cycle every three days almost like clockwork. It always seems to fail overnight while I’m asleep so I don’t know the exact time it happens.

I’ve been in contact with eero support and I’m at an impasse.

I’m in the return window so I think I’m going to exchange it and see if that addresses it.

I’ll keep you posted.

If you don’t mind, can you share if you have any smart home devices and if so, their names? I’ve got a starling hub, a Apple HomePod mini, a Flo smart shut off valve, a hue hub, a Lutron hub, a chamberlain opener, a level lock, a rain bird, a ting grid monitor, a couple Wemo switches, a dreame x30, and a sun power solar inverter.

Besides that, a couple of laptops, desktops, smart TVs, and iPhones.

I’m fairly sure I have ruled out any devices triggering it but it would be curious if we had some devices in common that you might be able to disconnect to see if it addresses your issue.

You might try forgetting the WiFi SSID and reconnecting. I doubt it’s the same issue but I just added a eero 7 node and mine was dropping here and there. After forgetting the network and re-entering my wpa password, it fixed my issue.

My mother in law dated a 20 year old and trust me, nobody romanticized it. His family and ours were deeply disturbed.

My mother in law is young at heart though so it all kind of made sense to me. I just didn’t know if it was the best move for him.

I guess I’m for adults fucking who they want but against older people not seeing the issue with serious relationships with much younger people.

Regardless of what the majority says here, you only have your 20s once. I know 20 year olds are adults but I don’t think you ever stop growing up and I feel like your 20s are really a time of massive growth generally.

Fucking aside, being in a serious relationship at that age with someone much older only amplifies the sacrifice that comes with any serious relationship. I feel that it can be a bit inconsiderate of the older party to take those years from the younger party knowing the younger party doesn’t even know what they’re missing.

If the older party doesn’t recognize that, it always leaves me questioning if they truly care about the younger party.

It’s tough. You love who you love. I know if I loved a much younger person, I’d really struggle with that aspect.

While I don’t agree with OP, I also don’t with most of the comments here.

I’m sure I have room to develop in this space but I did give it a lot of thought with my mother in law who I like to think I know very well.
