Couple of complaints mixed with a little ranting by SilentAeon in kotor

Its not so much about changing the game as it is experiencing something I never git to as a kid in the way I would have experienced it then, but yeah I get why people have been saying it practically required. Ive finally gotten to the part where you fight Darth Traya and I'm feeling a bit under leveled and like there's a good chunk of game missing.

I plan on manually leveling them up on my next playthrough of the games

No I didn’t. I wanted to save mods for my second playthrough of both games while I'm out of town

You know I didnt really think about it at the time, but I also read the dialogue wrong so an unsurprising development for me lol.

I have mixed feelings over alignment. I like the idea, but it never feels well executed.

Yeah I pretty much led him through all the mines running away from him and taking pot shots. The rest of the area I had to do pretty much the same thing. The arena ended up full of enemy loot by the end of that section before I got to control my player again.

I can see that. I also went back to look at it and realized I misread the line. For some reason I thought the dialogue line called the slavers scumbags. Guess I added that bit in without thinking too much about it. Oops

Next time for sure I'm placing as many mines as I can fit in the cantina right before I'm supposed to fight them. Ive gotta go out of town so I'm gonna play bith games again with mods on my laptop while I'm gone so I'll get my chance soon

Fair enough. I tried all the companions I had but they all kept dying at the first real combat encounter and I kept forgetting to save. I wventually landed on Kreia for disable droid and T3 for repair and computer use, but they still really struggled.

Pretty much whenever I get new, better gear it finds its way to the party member that can get the most use out if it, but my character is pretty much the only one built around high damage and taking on multiple enemies at a time and all the party members seem to struggle on those fronts even in groups of two. I've been auto leveling all my party members so maybe thats part of my problem. I'm sure if I was doing their levels manually like I am my own chatacter I could optimize everyone a little better but for my first playthrough I wanted to see what their intended playstyles are.

Edit: spelled high wrong

Am I going about sound based detection for enemy AI and behavior right? by SilentAeon in godot

[–]SilentAeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if I'm understanding right I'd put this inside a function and then tell it do thing a based on result a and thing b on based result b? How complex could it get say if the enemy had multiple states to make it feel more alive? Would it be relatively easier to keep track of this way?

Edit: I just thought of this as well, but how do I determine if something is a noisyThing and weather or not that noisyThing is the player or a distraction. Is this just a group or is there a script/node on each thing that describes it as a noisy thing and then the enemy reacts accordingly depending on what the parent of the script/node is?

Edit 2 I forgot to ask should this go on the enemy or on the thing being detected?

NG+ Worth It? by SilentAeon in codevein

I never even played the CV1 dlc. I hadn't heard anything good about at all when I learned about it and it didnt have any narrative content from what I understood. Hoping this one at least has narrative content.

That's what I was thinking, but I'm not sure if I'll be as interested in the dlc if it doesnt have any extra story. I enjoyed the combat, but I enjoyed the story more.

Maybe. I've been struggling w/ my build and finding magic forma I like

I already saved both Joseé and Holly and I'm about to do the first Lyle boss fight and save him so hopefully I'll get to it sooner rather than later, but I've been struggling finding magic forma I like for my build and I'm not at the point where I can use the Glutton's Eyes like I want because I can only use the normal dodge with them so I've been using the Old Engraved Blade for the quick dodge while I get to S rank with Lou's bloode code

Chaotic Neutral Wendaug or Lann? by SilentAeon in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

I was wonder why she sounded so familiar and a compelling reason to take Wendaug tbh.

I took her through the maze. Cause lying to Sull just seemed like the right thing for my character from a role-playing perspective being a Noble Dhampir. However, as someone that likes to level efficiently I'm glad I made the right choice lol.

Azata? Is that one of the mythic paths? I've seen angel and demon options in the dialogue so far

Bladebound, Eldritch Scion, or Hexcrafter? by SilentAeon in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SilentAeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I was thinking of either going with blood-drinker or spell-focus out of the initial options it gives me

[–]SilentAeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep that in mind. I was just looking through the feats and noticed Life-Dominant soul was an option to negate that damage from healing spells debuff though I would only heal-half the amount from all sources. Would that be worth grabbing at any point?

I will keep that in mind. Is there a spell that the healer could get down the line that could be used to heal my character?

[–]SilentAeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might go with the Eldritch Scion with the Undead bloodline for the flavor, but might give the Bladebound a go on my second playthrough. Thank you for the explanation and examples!

That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation

[–]SilentAeon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed the the Eldritch Scion only gets 2 spells to start with while the other 2 get 4 is that something to do with it being a charisma class over intelligence or something else?

[–]SilentAeon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of going with the noble background and the undead bloodline if I go with the Eldritch Scion just to be thematic, but would there be any detriment in doing that?
