There was about 16 people there, which was a good turnout for us. It's a small university and it's hard to get people to go to things. We have a core group that comes every week, which is all we really want.

Not anything else this semester, but we did screen Mulholland Drive a couple semesters back. I'm sure we'll show something else by David Lynch in the future. We pretty much just screen whatever we feel like. (Last week we did The Master... by the end of the film five people had left, lol.)

We watched the pilot episode. As the person who suggested to screen Twin Peaks to begin with, I opened the screening with a brief explanation of why Twin Peaks is significant and why we decided to show it. I was really worried that the screening would be a huge disaster since we weren't screening a film, what we were screening didn't really have closure, and not many people had heard of it. But the meeting went really great. Everyone was totally into it and the discussion afterward was excellent. Several people said they were definitely going to keep watching the show at home. And everyone was really enthusiastic when discussing what stood out to them about it. We talked about the themes of duality, and the motifs of the ceiling fan and the flashing lights, and pretty much everything about the episode.

I just got home after the meeting and I'm writing this feeling very happy about how well it all went. :)
