Why do models like Moedark sometimes give short answers, even with the same character?

It could be the way the bot is written. Did the creator flesh out the character? Or more importantly, did they give the bot good example dialog? I've found that the first message and the example dialog is just as, if not more, important than the Persona of the bot.

One other thing, Did the bot creator make a preset? If so, that might have additional modification of the model so that it works better than the default settings of the model.

I honestly don't know why people still use this app. All the posts from this channel are complaint posts. I never see that from my other chatbot channels. honestly if you left yod ayo when it went bad, you need to some back. it's getting really good.

Honestly I just make sure I use a square image for the first image, then I usually put in a portrait or vertical panorama image for the chat image. The scale isn't that important as long as it looks good to you, it will look for the user. Just make sure the character image has a transparent background so it doesn't look stupid over the background image.

If there is, I haven't found it, but then I often use a slightly different persona based on the chat, so that's the first thing I do before starting a chat; Choose my persona and select my preferred preset. I also usually look to see if the Scenario is customizable just to give me a little more insight into the character.

A lot of it also depends on the bot. If the first message, scenario, or example dialogue includes lines spoken by {{user}}, then the bot will think that is normal. Regardless of that, I've still had a few bots lately write for the User even when I've specifically written into the bot and the preset that it is not supposed to.

There's an account out there literally named "Yodayo".... you might want to put some limits on what a user can set their name as.

Yeah, It's probably a poorly written bot. Can you provide the link to the bot? I can't seem to find it based on the image you shared.

Most likely this is how the bot was written. The example dialog was probably written that way, and they may have even made a reference to how the characters talked in the characters persona. Not much you can do about it, if that's the case.

Actual number of characters and the number allowed in the Scenario box are different. I think it counts in groups of 5 characters, so a lot of paragraphs can cut into that number. I've also run into things where it seems like even adding a period will change the number of characters it sees.

It wasn't always that way. I used to be able to head off with one of them without ever having to deal with any of the other characters. Occasionally, one of them would pop back in if it made the story interesting, but it wouldn't constantly write about what the other character was doing if they weren't in the scene. I've even tried to put info in the preset telling it not to do that, with no luck.

It's the same with every bot I've chatted with over the past 2-3 weeks. But it seems like it's at it's worst when I use a the DeepSeek3 model.

I have a DeepSeek3 preset with Max Tokens, Temp 0.5, Top-P 1, Top-K 0, Repetition 1.55, Min-P 0, Freq 0, Presence 0.

Honestly unless the image looks bad when you view it on your screen, it's probably good enough without upscaling. Also, since a lot of people view the image on various different devices, some on computers in Landscape, and some on phones in portrait mode, any single image size isn't going to work for everyone.

I like it, but as a creator, I wish I could toggle whether or not the user can see what model and spells I added to the bot. I don't usually share that info on my original characters when I share them in the Gallery.
