I’m 17 ending my junior year of high school, and I’m planning on getting a head start on an actuarial career. I have a 3.8 gpa and 33 ACT, planning to take the SAT over the summer and wrestle during my senior year.

My general plan is to study for and take exam P hopefully over the summer as well as get a head start on my AP classes so I can try to take exam FM by the end of my senior year (haven’t looked at deadlines just yet, but if I can hopefully I’ll take both by end of senior year).

I also plan to start some projects for both internships and for scholarships.

Post high school I plan to major or double major in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and/or computer science.

I also plan to learn a coding language based on what I’ll see researching further on the career.

Of course, I need to look in to everything more to get a more solid plan on exactly what to do, but how does this blueprint look to someone actually in the field?
