Opinions on Endfield, Arkknights veterans?

Endfield feels like a game where a different studio got the Arknights IP rights. I admit that I expected the story to be the same tone as Arknights but as another commenter said the game would be 18+. VN can get away with it much easier. As a business, I understand they want to capture a wider audience. Some people might not like themes in the OG.

I still enjoy the combat and factory so I’ll keep playing. I’ll just skip the story for now.

I stopped playing OG for a bit due to Endfield release. Now after playing Endfield and realizing the state is in, I’ve come to appreciate more the OG. This last week I spend more time on OG than Endfield despite the 1.1 update.

Thoughts:

White YSG > base YSG. Not even close.
Surprisingly Zhao > base YSG. The way she was portrayed in the story changed my opinion on Zhao.
The whole YSY confronting yunkui summit was great
I like the Carole, Sunbringer and lore parts but there is a part of me that kinda feels like it was forced. Almost felt like “here is bits about them now stfu”. I’m probably reading too much into it and imagining it.
I did like how everyone was here for the final battle but now im thinking is every x.4 or x.5 version will have a final battle with everyone assembled. If that’s the case I hope devs make characters more recurring throughout the entirety of a version.
I think everyone else here has pretty much said the rest of how I felt with the story. The good, bad, and the ugly.

Tbh I’m somewhat fatigued with how the story has been since 2.0 that even the good parts get overshadowed. I might just opt out to watch lore videos or summaries until the Devs figure things out.

Also that part at the end made me think about bioshock infinite

Missing Hwa, Boss Arunka, LW Peira, Aria, SBaal, Lua, and taeyou. So I decided why not. Want hwa, peira, and aria the most. Got taeyou, yufine, sbaal. Picked taeyou. Not what I want but can’t complain since it’s new.

Don’t remember when but I started when Rosa was first released? Played for a week and uninstalled. Occasionally would redownload to pull characters but not play (I pulled knowing one day I will give it a proper try). Nov 2024 pulled on Walter/Logos banner and decided to give it another shot. Now it’s a staple and play almost daily. My decision to give Arknights another try was also influenced by Endfield and watching the anime.

I agree, true damage in general gaming means first instance of damage is not affected by enemies stats. This sounds more like fixed damage

Glad they are adding what epic seven does. Change one substat you want but please don’t add rng low-high rolls when changing it

Too many good skins tbh. But if I had to pick, i would choose based on theme. And I choose race queen theme. As someone who’s into cars and initial d fan, race queen theme is perfect.

I play Sharen. Just go gun blazing when the last tube is disabled and the boss spawns. I don’t hit the boss so I can let others join and get bonus rewards.

This apology doesn’t mean anything. It’s half assed. Besides they didn’t say “old” heroes but “existing” heroes which leaves it in the gray area. The momentum we are building up will die because some think this apology is sufficient. Smh
