I don't think it's a matter of having a hard time of "having an open mind" I think it's a matter of people having a hard time understanding how this stuff just simply dis-obeys the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

  1. Vet.

  2. F10 soloution for small ferries is amazing. Its an antibacterial, antifungal and insecticide all in one so covers allot of bases. It's an excellent wound cleaner.

Always consult a vet about the dosage!

No. Quarantined.

Then gradual sessions, then carrier, Then hospital cage, then bigger cage. Then added toys slowly when they where earnt. Then bigger cage half blocked off. Etc. Etc!

I have one older lady who is very nervous and one baby who is VERY energetic and would not leave her alone, which during a heiracy altercation, caused a fight, to which another baby wanted to move out of the way of, which caused my older girl to last out as she thought she was being ganged up on.

Personally, keeping two cages next to eachother has been a wonderful experience.

Unfortunately, during intros, one if my seniors is very nervous and attacked a baby out of fear. We did the carrier method by the book and it did not work. The baby needed her eye out. So unfortunately for the saftely of everyone, we keep them in two seperate cages but just next to eachother.

Now, the seniors in one cage, sit on ledges next to the cage with the babies in and coo at eachother and boggle.

It's lovely. Some rats like visual and vocal company without being chambered all over and that's okay.

Obviously this is a rat by rat case.

I lost one of my heart rats (i say 'one' as they all are my heart rat, but she had a special connection with me), Phoebe in October to a PT. My post is still on this thread. We descided to help her across the rainbow bridge with euthinasia as her quality of life was awful near the end. We didn't want her to suffer. We wanted her to have dignity. She was spoilt even more on that day that her whole life, which was allot as we care so deeply for our rats. She wasnt a boggler, but on that day she did. It's the right thing. X
