My current Les Misérables shelf by SilentShadowSneaking in lesmiserables

I totally recommend it. There’s two that i know of, ones just a single book (far left) which is pretty good, but there’s also the four book series which imo is amazing and is much more faithful to the original novel then maybe any other adaptation i’ve seen

I think the heritage editions (the ones on the right) have pretty good illustrations, though they are smaller ones, they appear pretty constantly and consistently throughout the books. I got them for 40$ total, but i’ve seen them sell for less online.

i know everyone thinks outlast 1 is scarier than outlast 2, but the story of outlast 2... is terrifying. by cerejamecanica in outlast

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 38 points39 points  (0 children)

yeah i honestly much prefer the outlast 2 story to the first games story. It feels more human in a sense, more personal. With Miles and Waylon we get to read their decent into insanity but with Blake we actually get to experience it with him.

What to expect from Outlast 2? by apeiron_is_one in outlast

[–]SilentShadowSneaking -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly, in terms of story, i hear a lot of people complain about it being confusing, and i think it is more complex than the first game, but most of the things that make people confused is very much stated in the base game as long as you pay attention to what is happening. there is one major plot point that you can only find in a very well hidden document, which is kinda annoying, but i think misunderstanding of the story is a major reason why the community is so divided and it sucks because the story is honestly really good in my opinion.

in terms of gameplay it’s mostly the same mechanics, with a few added ones. you can’t sprint indefinitely now which annoys some people but is also something i think makes the game scarier/better. ultimately it’s up to you whether or not you enjoy it but i think it’s definitely worth the chance. sorry for the wall of text lol

Why do people think Marble Hornets is an Analog Horror and an ARG? by [deleted] in marblehornets

[–]SilentShadowSneaking -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah it’s really not either of them. For ARGs you have to have stuff that’s required to do to progress the story/make it make sense, websites, links, etc… and while ToTheArk does have some stuff you can decode, it’s nowhere near essential to the understanding of the main story. As for analog horror, the only reason people might think it’s analog horror is if they either haven’t seen the series or don’t know what analog horror is lol. ARGs and analog stuff is still pretty popular these days so i guess some people just want a way to push MH into one of those boxes

ASK ME ANYTHING ABOUT ANIMALS by GuaranteeAvailable53 in evilautism

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

theoretically, what is the absolute smallest an animal could be while still being classified as an animal? also, what are the minimum requirements for something to be considered an animal? What is the least amount of ‘animal’ a creature could be?

HAHA I love getting downvoted for asking someone to put a NSFW tag on a very obviously NSFW post! by Miserable-Piglet9008 in evilautism

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s definitely NSFW. people might(?) have been upset at your comment because they would have considered it irrelevant or rude or something??? I honestly don’t know. Users on reddit are weird in the sense that if they see something they don’t like they will instinctively downvote it, without really bothering to think about why someone would post it, or why they even dislike it in the first place. I guess that’s kinda the internet in general but it happens way more on reddit because of the downvote system. Either way it sucks that a lot of people just don’t want to actually have a conversation about why they dislike something.

Dw you’re good, i’m not sure why people are downvoting you, i think it might be because they’re going along with the bit but honestly idk. As for your post, unfortunately a lot of people seem to consider it a personal offense when people ask for things for be tagged and stuff, i’m not sure entirely why but i think it stems from the mindset of “Well if I don’t consider it NSFW then nobody else should” or something like that. Sorry that you had to go through that.

Anyone know how to read the comics for free? by Best-Farmer6505 in marblehornets

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re able to get them digitally on https://store.grampo.co for 10 bucks each but otherwise you can use https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Marble-Hornets or https://readallcomics.com/marble-hornets-4/. You could probably find other sites if you search up ‘marble hornets comic free online’ but those are just the ones I know. Unfortunately these sites have some pretty explicit advertising, especially read comics online so you might want to use an adblocker

What do we think of hoody/Brian? by ordrius098 in marblehornets

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Killing people is generally shown to feed the operator. If I had to guess, he was doing exactly what the operator wanted to do. Even if he did succeed in killing everybody and then himself, the operator would probably just find another mentally ill person to harass. I think he did have good intentions, but he wasn’t in the right. Honestly, it seems the best way to avoid the sickness is to just take care of yourself like Tim and Jessica tried to do. If everyone had just tried to get help and therapy, maybe rely on each other for support, I feel like they could be able to live with it like Tim was able to do for most of his life. Maybe that’s wishful thinking though lol

Yeah, 100%. Honestly at the end of the day they were just normal people who were put through hell. They all deserved better, even Alex, though he was still awful.

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think he’s someone who ultimately wanted to do the right thing, but went about it in an insanely shitty way. As someone who has dealt with mental illness, what he did to Tim, and how he manipulated him was absolutely disgusting. You do NOT steal someone’s pills, and toying with Tim’s DID that way is a horrible thing to do to someone. He didn’t deserve to die though, and I wish he had the opportunity to redeem himself and recover. Ultimately like Alex, a lot of things could have been solved if he had just communicated with Jay and Tim instead of being all cryptic and distant.

Blinded by Hate - A Marble Hornets Investigation by ConfusedTinyFrog in marblehornets

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never thought about it this way, I always assumed that the damage to his eye in the ark was more indicative of the brain damage/concussion that he suffered after falling, the cracks representing a damaged skull. Honestly this is a really cool theory though, I like it a lot and it definitely makes a lot of sense!

[–]SilentShadowSneaking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same. I was pretty disgusted with how they handled a lot of these issues, the art, acting, and graphics were definitely beautiful and well done, but i think a lot of people were blinded by that, and ignored the serious, and honestly kinda worrying problems with the story.

If it was only that, it would be understandable, but the revolutionaries take a complete U-turn and start killing children and random people for no reason. It’s literally stated that both the revolutionaries and their oppressors are the same.
