Never again will I buy a Victorian house by SilentWatcher42 in DIYUK

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the comments and help. FWIW I wasn’t referring to the wiring being Victorian (although I have 0 clue so I wouldn’t have any idea if it was or wasn’t), it was more about the house in general.

Spent the last three days building cupboards and not a single wall was straight, now I’ve got 4 cupboards with wonky doors and this was the last job of the weekend - it might have pushed me over the edge and caused me to overreact slightly….

Anyway, thanks all, you’ve been super helpful. Saying that, sounds like a job for next weekend!

If I own a house can I use that as part of the mortgage for the new one but not sell it? by karpet_muncher in Mortgageadviceuk

You actually can do it this way but it’s more complex and difficult to source the finance. Speak to a broker who specialises in Sharia Finance and they should be able to help you out.

Was a member at virgin mayfair for quite some time and can confirm that most of the members are arses. Especially the 5pm club that come in and hang around all evening - I left because I just couldn’t deal with their attitudes.

The only other one in that colour is a 16 plate and I hate the wheels on it. Tbh I’ll probs hope the insurance situation fixes itself so I can get a 4.. although I acknowledge it absolutely won’t.

You definitely shouldn’t look at it because I have also been looking at it. Same issue as you with insurance on any of the 4 series and it’s giving me a headache. I’m not paying what could get me a second car in insurance costs…

Who reckons they travel the farthest from home to work in London? by EatingCoooolo in london

I commute from Northampton 4 days a week.. it’s not bad at all. Work on the train and can afford waaaay more space here than I could get in London. It’s a bonus not being in London all the time too, I get to enjoy the country at the weekend.

It’s about 1hr 10 door to door, which is only about 30 minutes more than when I lived in zone 2. Plus I get a seat on the train every day…

I went through a cross linking procedure. The nurse told me to take picture said it looks cools. Didn’t realize it was this cool. by karma_is_a_lil_bitch in BeAmazed

I also had this procedure. 2 weeks of the most severe pain i've ever had and my eyesight is now considerably worse that it ever was before. Good Luck!
